My friend and I had lunch at the Dog and Puckle this week. We were welcomed and treated with attentiveness. We both felt extremely relaxed, and enjoyed our meals tremendously. Thanks to all who made our visit so nice!!

Our most recent visit to the Dog & Pickle was brilliant. Food was amazing, service excellent (it's always better to be served by the same person throughout the meal) and it was quiet, until a load of racegoers came in. It is our go-to restaurant in Rossett now.

Slow service. Marketing on social media and website and the reality didn’t add up. Food was fine but from social media I had higher expectations so was disappointed. Very few dairy free options. very slow service. Pleasant staff but overall disappointed.

Very prompt and efficient service by two young ladies who worked hard to ensure all guests’ orders were taken and processed There’s some good innovation and effort spent on the menu- we had the tikka chicken and spring vegetable risotto; both were delicious This is not your standard pub grub menu, it’s slightly on the expensive side but well worth the extra expenditure, we will be returning

Food was lovely and really tasty. Service was just really slow. Took 45 minutes for our starter to come out which was just a ciabatta and 30mins for our drinks. Asked for a mocktail which was basically a J20 in a glass. Staff were really friendly.

There was no ribeye steak, rump steak, pie or chicken available from the mains. There was no tomato ketchup. The £12.95 ‘king’ scallop starter consisted of three small scallops. They were retuned and replaced with 6, and we were not charged. The spring green risotto was poor and consisted of a large amount of cheese which solidified and stuck the rice together. We will not be returning.

Fantastic food in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere at the Dog and Pickle. Food was absolutely top quality and delicious, service was great and they are really helpful and friendly. Thank you for taking my allergies seriously and being extra cautious, it’s much appreciated. Great value, too. We will definitely be back!

Greeted with smell of paint as they were decorating. Food ok. Overcharged me in charcuterie board to be told 'well thats what the till said ', i replued with, 'well that's not what the menu said ', then a member of staff asked if we wanted a refund on the overcharged amount!!

a lovely little control pub we of open fire. the menu was great with lots of choses on there. the pie was delicious and we will be back again next week

Really pleasant lunch with quick service The staff were really pleasant and attentive, and the food was excellent I ordered the 10oz rump steak and my partner ordered the Caesar salad which were both delicious and we will definitely be returning again soon

When we were seated and given the menu I was not asked if I had any food allergies, which I do. The only form of description on the menu was gluten free, vegan, vegetarian. The menu was not very descriptive there was very little in way of information regarding the food. It was extremely loud inside and the tables were very close together.

Shocking prices for the food you get, £30 for a horrible looking piece off steak. Mountain full off rocket leaf salad and a kids portion off chips. Staff not bothered to tell you what the specials/soup off the day. Take your empty glasses away without asking if you want another. Waste off money and will certainly not be supporting this local pub again

This was our first visit to the Dog & Pickle. The outside looks great, the outside felt welcoming and friendly. The decor was very tasteful and everywhere was very clean. The service was very good. The food was nicely presented and tasted great, just a bit pricey for a light bite. I think the price of an orange and lemonade was expensive. 3 of these were over £12. Overall we enjoyed it but the price of a soft drink would slightly put me off. Having said that we would probably go back again but be mindful of which drinks we have.

We received our meal wth in ten minutes of sitting down.The roast beef was tough.t.The fish and chips where ok.I think the two meals had been sitting for a while and warmed up.

Booked for wifes birthday meal with friends,mentioned birthday when booking but were left waiting for food forover an hour from time of ordering and that was after chasing it up. 3 of the meals good but wifes gammon turned up as pork!! We were not charged for her meal and given a free drink, just overall .

Staff abrupt, no charm, not unfriendly but limited conversation, food mediocre I rang up prior to booking asking was there an alternative menu from the Sunday one told there would be one,but not as extensive as during the week enquired about it to be told no such thing very dissatisfied.

Good menu with a range of choices for Nibbles and Starters as well as the main main and Light Bites. Prices about the same as in the other local eateries/bistros. Attentive service as well. Food was very good.
