The Dockside Restaurant offers superbly prepared classic dishes in a setting like no other. Located on the waterfront where Granville Island faces the city, guests can enjoy panoramic views across False Creek to the world-famous cityscape of Yaletown and beyond to the mountains of the North Shore.

The open dining room is relaxed yet refined, wrapped in spectacular floor to ceiling windows, while the lounge offers warm intimate surroundings for evening cocktails. The award-winning patio catches sunlight from morning to late afternoon. Protected on three sides it’s an oasis of calm, disturbed only by the occasional sound of boats making their way along False Creek. Recent renovations have added fireplaces and casual seating areas to this Vancouver destination.

Party of 10, took close to 45 minutes to take our first drink order and 1-1/2 hours before the appetizers came… Tried to order wine with dinner, but they said we’d have to finish our cocktails first because they couldn’t have two bottles of red and two bottles of white on the table at the same time… beautiful location and designed to look like a fine dining spot, but they don’t have the first clue.

We went before the theatre, and the server was very attentive to our time requirements. The menu has changed for the better since our last visit, and everyone liked their dishes a lot.

Great server and awesome patio. We has a great afternoon and the environment was fantastic. Unfortunately our mussels were a little under cooked.

Terrible service - 30 minutes to get a cocktail everything else was just a slow. Second entree that arrived after 30 minutes was barely above room temp!!! Not edible!!! Clearly came out of the freezer and not properly warmed. Lovely location if you have time come to the patio for a drink then eat someplace else.

Best brunch I’ve ever had ! Service was top tier and the view was unreal. Pricey but understandable, will 100% be back again.

Amazing location but so poorly managed, chaotic service, servers changed 3 times in two hours, and we sat for periods of twenty to thirty minutes without any service at all- drinks empty. It was not a busy night either. It was baffling. Some dishes were great others not so much. No votive candles on tables in the dark so menus could not easily be read without phone torch light. Improve attentiveness to patrons and attention to detail, and this place would be fantastic.

We were told they don’t reserve deck tables but when we arrived, all the deck tables were reserved although half were unoccupied ????

Our waitress was wonderful, prompt and kept our party of 14 very organized and smooth! Additional staff helped with waters and running food. It was a great experience and we will be back for future corporate dinners!

I would say it was just ok. We arrived during happy hour. There were about 5 or 6 wait staff hanging around and we had to ask to place an order. The pasta dish we had promised a yummy gooey dinner but it was dry, barely any asparagus and lacked flavour. We were then told the patio closed at 7. That would have been nice to know when we were seated at 5:30. Alex our waiter was really nice and gave feedback about our dry pasta. He was the best part of the evening as he was very genuine. The rest of the experience was meh.

Terrific meal all around! Great cocktails, welcoming and attentive service provided by our server, Lara. We really enjoyed the Escabedhe starter and the salmon entree with flavorful accompaniments. Great setting. Highly recommend!

The overall experience was good food and drinks were tasty. But we were disappointed, the Chilled seafood experience was hardly that. For the price it was definitely no bounty as described in the menu.

Server tried to accommodate our need to be out in about 1:15 and brought the dishes when they were ready. He seemed a bit... distracted. Wife's wine came punctually, my order for beer took a couple of reminders. Wife loved the carbonara (and the server had recommended over her other choice), my duck was overcooked but I really wanted it (and there wasn't time to fire it again), so I ate. It scallops appy was the last dish to arrive, If I recall the price right, it was about $8 per scallop which seemed a bit... precious. I'd return again for a bit more leisurely meals, but I left slightly disappointed. Just slightly.

We loved the ambiance and the view and the food was delish and the waitress (Laura) very attentive (drink refills without asking!). Before we came we didn’t look at menu and we were not aware it would be mostly seafood. But that’s ok. Food was delish. Small servings for the price (but that’s Canada now!). Prices were not out of line with all other restaurants of this (high) calibre. We’d go again and we’d recommend to others.

Gem Caesar salad was fantastic. Steak frites so-so. Fries were thick and sparse. They should be thin, hot and plentiful. Server was polite but not engaged. Have eaten here many times. Great potential but usually lacking. I would love to see some effort. Not giving up. Will try again.

Thank you to the wonderful staff who took such good care of my guests and I. The evening was superb. You contributed to a most memorable experience. From fresh oysters, Perfectly cooked Artichoke Char, and duck - you hit the mark on every plate. I look forward to dining here again.

Food is always reliably good here and the new offerings are delicious. Loved the little Happy Hour pizzas and sliders! Staff seems new and somewhat disoriented. Although there were plenty wandering around, it still took us a much longer time than expected to place our order and then our second order of appetizers got “delayed” for 30 minutes (saw it go to another table that ordered after us!). The attention to the customer was just not there. Even when we arrived for our reservation we were not seated on the patio (where we had requested in our reservation) but told the heaters were not on and then given a table for 2 when we’d booked for 4! We then saw others being seated outside after us and heaters turned on! Very frustrating but we let it go as “beginning of the season”. Hopefully, things resolve themselves here as Dockside had always been a favourite place of ours but something has definitely changed…

Everything was nice incl food just a long delay in getting the 4 main courses as there was a large group of 20/24 people at a long table that seemed to have delayed being served our main courses. Wait staff gave their apologies and complimented our 4 dessert other than that everything was fine and would surely return.

Was here for early dinner before a show, two consecutive nights. Staff seemed to ignore us for most parts, and had to actively wave someone down each time. They would take one person's order, then walk away without taking the others. Do not recommend.

We had a wonderful time at Dockside to celebrate our cousin’s bday. Our server was amazing. And the food was delicious. The burrata appetizer is best I’ve ever had. Our mains were amazing too. The atmosphere here is nice and with beautiful views, hard to beat
