A Chicago-based, award winning restaurant and bar institution since 2009, DMK Burger Bar was launched following a year-long expedition across America to find the best burgers in the USA by 5-times James Beard nominated Chef Michael Kornick. DMK offers everything fresh - 100% grass-fed beef, bison, all-natural chicken, house-seasoned turkey and salmon burgers, and a veggie burger made in house with 12 vegetables, grains and beans. In addition to a Build Your Own option, DMK offers 12 chef-created gourmet burgers served on fresh artisan buns (pretzel, gluten free, rye, and lettuce also available). Menu includes fresh chicken wings with house-made sauces, fresh hand-breaded chicken strips, fresh hand-cut fries, appetizers, salads, soups, hand-dipped premium ice cream shakes (and boozy options), mixologist created cocktails, local craft beers, house-made sodas and Coca-Cola products. The menu includes Jr. combo meals and happy hour features during weekdays.

Just wasn't a great experience - servers were not very attentive and the restaurant wasn't full. I've had great experiences at DMK before and this one just was not up to par. Looking forward to it being better service next time.

Good location for lunch. It would be helpful to have more than one person managing the bar patrons and those in the regular dining area.

Food is slightly better than average with some really interesting offerings. Atmosphere and surroundings are less attractive with no real vibe to the place. Our server would probably be better suited in a different industry. Service was awful and there was little effort to provide any type of dining experience.

Kitchen was sloppy—wrong proteins on two bowls, all the sausage placed on one plate when identical entrees were cooked together, shrimp over cooked. Waiter was undertrained—couldn’t keep track of who had ordered what, announced the bill’s total at the conclusion of the meal. No coffee available after dinner. No birthday recognition. Some good dishes, though, including beet salad and hush puppies. Nice gin cocktail.
