Although the Crab legs were overcooked and hard to get the meat out, overall the flavor was good. Good portions and good service. Waiter was good but over extended.

Service & wait time for drinks (sodas) & food was extremely slow. There were only 4 tables in use while we were there but it took 20 minutes just to get our sodas & it was only 3 of us dining. I could understand if there were a lot of people but it practically a ghost town for it to a Saturday at lunchtime. Food was ok but nothing that I would feel the need to visit again. Definitely a bit of a let down.

Our first experience at Dive was amazing. Our second was the opposite. We ordered all you can eat crab legs and not one cluster was edible. They were so rubbery you could not get any of the meat out of them. No flavor either

Drake was great server. Attentive, friendly, knowledgeable about the menu. Fried green tomato appetizer...excellent. Entrees very good except Grouper Sandwiches were small.

Paula was our server & she makes you feel like her best friend. She know about all the dishes & can answer all your questions. We both got grouper (sandwich that had slaw on it with fries & a platter with shrimp,fries, hushpuplies, & slaw.) Both were so good. The batter is light, not greasy.The special was a porkchop over riosto. Sounded great. Paula said she tried it & it was! Now for the drinks. All kinds of creation thay make you feel like you are on vacation. Mine shimmered & had a cute turtle pick in my garnish. Bottom line, everything I have ordered had been great. The atmosphere is (coastal) quite enough to hold a converation. The service is amazing. Just love it!

I had so much fun. The food was delicious. The server was fun and funny. I order the all you can eat crab legs. They were cooked perfectly. The meat slide out of the shell with no effort. I will definitely be going back. Oh my friend had the pork chop he said was delicious too. I watched him cut it with a fork. So it’s not just seafood but a nice mixer of comfort food and seafood.

I had been hearing a lot about their all-you-can-eat crab legs, so my wife and I decided to go. The first thing we noticed was that the tables weren't very clean. Whomever was wiping them down after a customer left wasn't doing a very good job. My wife ordered the fish fry, and I ordered the crab. I must say that my wife enjoyed her fish fry. The cole slaw and hush puppies were really good. The crab, which was the reason I wanted to go was a real disappointment. The legs were very small, tasteless, and almost impossible to get out of the shell. The meat in both legs and claws stuck to the shell making it very hard to get the meat out. When you were able to get the meat out, it had little to no flavor. Service was adequate, but not very attentive. I don't think we will be back.

My husband and I went here for our second anniversary,It was our first time eating here.From the moment we walked in we were greeted and sat right away,Our server Pamala was working the bar and had all the tables while training a new server And She was absolutely fantastic! Everything from the appetizer to the entree to the dessert was absolutely amazing.The cocktails were also fantastic! We will definitely be coming back to eat here more often! Highly recommend the shrimp and crab dip appetizer and the Brussel sprouts as a side. Thank you for a great experience.

Great Friday night atmosphere not too crowded, wonderful staff and service. For the first time in a long time, I noticed owner of the restaurant going table to table and personally talking to guests and asking how their meal and the service was. This felt like a nice family friendly restaurant, I believe the only thing I would change is maybe having a child’s menu for the little ones to play with while waiting on the meal.

Absolutely the worst food I’ve had in a very long time. The crab legs were flavored with NOTHING. Not even a little salt. Tasted microwaved. Thank God for the melted butter so I could at least eat a little of it to not totally waste my $50. The grits had a weird taste. The mashed potatoes were horrible. My husbands fish was translucent raw. So disappointing.

Appetizers were great! The grouper was very tasty and my husband got the all you can eat crab legs and they kept them coming. First time there and won’t be our last. Delicious!

Our seafood was exceptional, the waitress very attentive & helpful. We had cedar plank salmon, crab legs and a grouper sandwich. The best part, however, was how they understood about having no cross-contamination in our food! Everyone who needs gluten-free food should know about this restaurant!

My grouper was severely overcooked. Grits are never good without proper seasoning. Another of my party fish was severely undercooked. So not consistent and not a good value. So wanted to write a good review but alas.

What a great evening…again. Food-many places have great food. The difference is the food is ALWAYS consistently delicious, piping hot and there is usually to go boxes needed because there is so much food. Great value! I’m not sure how you did it but whether a busy time or not, we can always carry on a normal conversation. A busy hum is good. We love the easy going ambience. But the thing I love even more than all of the above is the service snd especially the people. I grew up here and remember when everyone knew everyone and stopped to greet each other. I think we have probably been served by every Dive person by now snd we have consistently been warmly welcomed and served by some of the most kind people who genuinely want us to enjoy our meal and our time. We “restaurant dinner” (as we call it) usually once a week. We made a list of local places we like and usually go down the list. I think we’ve stopped using the list because of what i said above. Dive Southern Coastal is hands down our go to now. Thank you and we will be back.

Took my sister here for her birthday. She had been wanting to try this restaurant. Our visit was very disappointing. We had the fried green tomatoes and fried banana peppers. The appetizers were good. Nothing fabulous but good. Our dinners however were not good at all. My husband had the fish and chips and we are not very picky eaters and he said it was the worst he had ever had. The fish almost looked burned because it was so dark brown. My sister had the grouper sandwich which we still don’t understand how the bun was so soggy. The bottom was mush. She also had the she crab soup and couldn’t even eat it due to the taste. My brother in law had a burger. He is not a picky eater either and said it was so overcooked that it was chewy. I had the fried chicken breast over southern mashed potatoes. The chicken was moist and the breading crisp but it had no flavor. A $140 very disappointing meal is what we had. Service was not great either because there were 2 people servicing all the tables and one of the servers was also making drinks. I felt bad that this was my sisters birthday lunch. We won’t be back.

I will run out of room. We have been to Dive probably 6 times and it has been exactly the same every time-fantastic. -Always clean -food is always wonderful, hot and plentiful -lots of places can do the above 2 things but one of the places you guys excel is your staff. We are always greeted quickly. The server always introduces him or herself quickly. From the moment of seating it is just a great experience. Never rushed; questions always answered without annoyance; water/wine glasses always checked and refilled if wanted. You keep an eye on the table without interrupting the conversation(that is hard to do). Goodness I could go on and on. We tell everyone we know to go and you guys are always on our radar. And i need to mention the hush puppies. I’m sure there is an easier way to prepare them but please don’t. They are wonderful-I even give up my “no carbs” for your hush puppies!! Thank you and we will return soon. Blessings

This was our first time at dive Southern kitchen, and it was most enjoyable! The cheese grits were creamy, and the hush puppies just perfectly cooked. My husband had the grouper, which was moist and tender. The price point was very fair and we are sorry we did not save room for dessert.!!

The food was not good. Apparently they don’t believe in seasoning their food. It was very bland. I paid $55 for crab legs, zero taste. The only thing that was good was the crab dip.

This has become one of our favorite restaurants and our go-to place for seafood. Great value with generous proportions. The service is perfect. The food comes out piping hot, fast, and delicious. The chef comes to your table to check if you like the food. Overall, it is a great place.
