District 21 is the final stop for Francis Tuttle Culinary students on the path to a professional career. Students who work in the on-campus restaurant are passionate about seeking a profession in the industry and are looking for real-world experience to prepare them for that future job.

Each of our professional chefs who work in the kitchen with students has at least over a decade of experience in the field, and some have multiple decades. Jason Marsh and Bill Leib have worked in a variety of culinary settings: restaurants, hotels, and catering businesses for events with thousands of people in attendance. They also bring a love of various cuisines and cooking styles, from Chef Bill’s Asian cuisine specialty to Chef Jason’s enjoyment of Southern Style cooking. They construct a curriculum with the District 21 menu in mind, ensuring a variety of experiences and flavors for both student chefs and dining patrons.

This was an interesting experience being able to see how much effort and dedication was put into the meal. The starter and main were very well done but the dessert left a lot more to be desired the chocolate cake was dense and missing the moisture needed.

We enjoyed our meal and the experience. The food was very good. One should remember this is a learning environment for the students, who are supervised by an instructor. Your visit will take longer than a typical restaurant. We will definitely be back.

Great food! Very good. Limited menu since they are learning, but everyone ordered something different and everyone was very pleased. Service was extremely slow. We had a reservation since we had two young kiddos with us, and it took a long time to take our orders and then about 40 minutes later we asked if we could get our starters and they brought them right out. It was just a long time to wait for salad. Overall, pleased, but I won’t be back.

Bearing in mind that this is a student operated endeavor, my expectations were well beyond met. The quality of ingredients was exceptional. The young people are delightful. We will return enthusiastically

The water had way too much ice in it, too cold to drink. The restaurant was freezing. My fish entre was overcooked, very dry. They brought pudding for dessert, but no spoon to eat it with.

As usual all was great, only thing I would change is the pre meal bread offerings, it was very dry and cold. The main meals, pasta and the Halibut were great.

Our steaks were sent back because they weren’t cooked to our requested doneness, and the server abandoned us.

Dessert was just ok. Not the best we have had there. 3 of us had lemon curd cake. One was red velvet cheesecake. It was very good. Overall good good. Service was great accept young man needs to speak louder.

Very pleasant dinner experience. The restaurant is pretty and quiet, a great place if you want to have conversation. Though our experience was very good, I can’t give it 5 stars because our wait person didn’t bring bread plates until we asked and forgot our coffee with dessert. That being said, it’s a great value and very good food.

Ran out of one of the entrees early in the evening and the wait was very long for the meal. There was a large party ahead of us but still too long and they gave us a discount because of that. Otherwise excellent.

We love this place and we'll be back probably next week.. But the food was so salty none of us could eat it .. And we've always had a favorite waitress who just was wonderful... But it seems like that whole staff has gone and the service was terrible... They didn't even know one knife from another and gave a soup spoons to eat our dessert... But as I said the food is always been wonderful with this exception and we'll be back..

We were very pleased with our experience at District 21. We were greeted and seated very promptly. I had the pesto salmon and it was moist and flakey, but the pesto was slightly salty. My husband had the chicken picatta and it was nice and tender. We had the garden salad and hummus for starters and enjoyed both of them. Desserts were really good as well. Service was good, atmosphere was good. We are already planning on returning sometime soon.

I and my friend totally enjoyed our visit to District 21, the wait staff were very professional, food was presented within a good timeframe and was at the appropriate temperatures. Highly recommend.

The servers and cooks are students so we expected a wait. It did seem longer than usual this time, but we were on a date so not pressed for time. Everyone there is so friendly that it's worth slower service. We dine here often and usually have a great experience. I didn't particularly like my choice of entree, but my husband's salmon was wonderful. The appetizer and dessert were fantastic and when I asked for coffee they made a whole press for me. We recommend this place to all our friends.

Overall it was a great time, our second time there, service wasn’t the best either time but not terrible, food was better the first time but this time it was still good, this is my secret spot for a nice quiet Valentine’s Day, and it will continue to be that!

Hopefully they will get the new waitstaff sorted out, and have them check on tables. It wasn't great having to flag down chefs for refills and food issues.

The restaurant was very relaxing, clean and nicely decorated. Our waiter was outstanding. She and the chef went above and beyond to accommodate our gluten free food restrictions. The food presentation equaled or exceeded that of any fine dining restaurant. We will go again and take friends.

The best kept secret is District 21 for fine dining. Excellent food and service, and you get a lot more than you pay for. Outstanding!

Good atmosphere for casual dining or special occasions. Definitely wouldn’t be out of place if you dressed up formally. The service was great, the hostess and the waiters were very friendly, professional and attentive. Would definitely come again.
