Di Mauro's is a locals favorite, known for its authentic homemade Italian dishes in a lively, vibrant and casual atmosphere. In the year 2001, Chef Patron Mauro L. came to Miami Beach from Padova, Northern Italy, carrying knowledge of Italian cuisine, having worked for years in upscale restaurants in Italy and London, and opening an Italian restaurant for others. One day Mauro L. while passing by the corner of 15th St. & Washington Ave. in Miami Beach, realized his opportunity to open his own Cafe/Restaurant and he named it Caffe Di Mauro. For more than ten years, he has been successfully running his business where the key ingredients are: Quality, Quantity, and his Italian Personality.

Cool Italian Restaurant on the corner before you reach the crowds on Espanola Way. Start off with a half glass of Prosecco on the house. Great Caesar Salad followed by short rib ravioli and homemade long rigatoni fra diablo. We will be back.

It was pretty good! I loved the food. Pasta was very delicious and ‘boníssima”. The restaurant is very beautiful into, and outside table are comfortable. I loved and appreciated.

I really never write reviews but I needed to say something because this was a very terrible experience. The server was missing for the majority of our time there, their food is NOT as pictured online, and we were promised a refund due to the misleading photos and service quality and received less than half of our bill back. I ordered the shrimp fra diavola which pictured (in the website) fresh cooked shrimp in a thick spicy tomato sauce. When it came out I received 6 cocktail shrimp in what can only be described as tomato soup with crushed red pepper. After returning the dish I was not offered a replacement and proceeded to watch the waitress roll her eyes as she removed the dish from our bill. Having been a restaurant owner myself I took the time to speak with the owner afterward letting him know what had happened. I did not expect anything in return however after our conversation he said he would refund us our meal and apologized. That did make the situation somewhat better however I checked my bank statement and noticed the almost $300 bill was still subtracted and only a $85 return was made. Just disappointed and will definitely not be back.

It was recommended to us from a friend and we were immediately greeted and seated however, our waitress was not very attentive. All couples around us were given complimentary bubbly, and bread. Our waitress brought us our food and left. After dinner and empty glasses, we waited 35 min to be acknowledged for dessert. We declined and asked for the bill. Food was good, but have had better. All the other waiters seemed on it. She was very lucky tip was built into the bill otherwise, based on her level of service, she would not have received it.

Don’t listen to anyone who gives this place a negative review. It is a fantastic experience top to bottom. Great food, great drinks. Our server Lucas was fantastic. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend. Don’t hesitate, from a person who’s eaten at hundreds of Italian restaurants.

My husband and I came out here for his birthday and I took a chance on this restaurant since he wanted Italian. We were not disappointed at all. The service was fantastic and the food was perfect. I had one of the chefs specials with truffle steak and my husband had the meat Lasagna and a chicken Caesar salad. We had outdoor seating since the weather was so nice. Would definitely eat here if we’re ever in Miami again!

Friendly staff, great food. We arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation and were seated right away. It was Valentine’s Day so the restaurant was eventually completely full, and still the service was good. Definitely would go again.

The food and service were fantastic. Julietta our server could not have more attentive. The chicken parmigiana and the Fruitti de Mare were both excellent choices. If you want a good meal in a casual neighborhood restaurant, Di Mauro's is the place to go.

In the 6 days we were visiting Miami, we went to this place twice. Our first experience was so perfect in every sense that we wanted to go there again with a larger group to celebrate a birthday. Pedro, our server on the second visit, did an amazing job and so did all the remaining staff. Highly recommend this place on many levels.

We visited here for the first time. Everyone enjoyed their food! We loved the vibe of the place. The service was a little lacking and they really pack the tables in this place but overall we would go again.

Food seemed pre made. Heated to order. Wife's eggplant parm flavor was nice, warm on the outside and cold in the middle. Chicken parm was not freshly cooked, again seemed pre made and just heated. Would not recommend or return.

Dom was our waiter. So enjoyable and pleasant. The food was phenomenal authentic Italian that my whole family enjoyed. It was a bit pricey, but probably to be expected given its location. Would eat there again.

BEWARE EVERYONE!!! Stay away from this VERY BAD place. All OpenTable loyalists should please read this article. We walked around South Beach looking for an Italian restaurant that seemed authentic. We checked out several and this place seems to fit the bill. We went online, made reservations on OpenTable and walked in. We confirmed with the host, before we sat, that they had our reservations and they acknowledged that they did. We sat and ate. After 22 hours, the restaurant had still not let OpenTable know we honored our completed reservations and our points weren't posted to our account. We called the restaurant and they seemed very (and conveniently) confused as to what OpenTable was or even what we were talking about. They said the manager wasn't there today but they would transfer us to a host. They then hung up and they are now not answering their phone. Again, we did visually confirm, when we did arrive, that the reservations were on the Host's table/phone. We are loyal OpenTable supporters and are totally disappointed by this lack of support for OpenTable. We have reported this bad behavior to OpenTable and hope that they will fix this problem. UPDATE: we have called the restaurant again and they still continue to not (1) understand what OpenTable is and (2) not understand that we ate there and are awaiting our points award. They conveniently forgot the English language during the conversation both times and continue to say "the manager is not there. We honestly believe they are attempting to deceive OpenTable out of their rightfully earned money. FINAL UPDATE!!!!...They finally found the knowledge of English and have awarded us our point. Thank you Food G_d!!!...By the way, the food was, well, I suggest you keep looking elsewhere.

Great service and very good food! The pasta dishes we ordered were both very tasty and the Tiramisu, made at the table, was to die for. The only mistake was we didn’t get our appetizer in time. It came after the pastas. However, our server apologized and offered a glass of good Barolo wine on the house. A nice gesture. We will definitely come back next time we’re in Miami. Di Mauro’s offers an authentic Italian cuisine which is not that common nowadays.

This is a hidden gem. We walked by one evening to look at the menu- and the staff were so incredibly wonderful we decided to reserve a table the next evening. The food is incredibly fresh and well prepared. The servers, chef, hosts- are all wonderful and incredibly warm and inviting. The food itself is very authentic and homemade. I have an egg allergy and was pleasantly surprised that I could eat the pasta- under the gluten free section. We started with the eggplant as an appetizer- and when we come back we will have again. The inside is just so beautiful with the chandeliers- and the paintings on the wall. We live out of state but will be back next year to try again. Good food and service. Noise level exaggerated by lots of hard surfaces where sound bounced - hard, bare floors, lots of glass etc. Service was very attentive.

First of all there was a price difference between what was quoted on the online menu and what was on the actual menu I ordered roasted vegetables and got stewed spinach a piece of canned artichoke, tomato and a whole bunch of black olives. Not exactly roasted vegetables. The branzino was covered in a tomato sauce and not very tasty. All in all a disappointing dinner
