Welcome to the Detroit Fish House Steak & Oyster Bar
We are a new seafood, steak and oyster bar located in Shelby Township, MI.

At the Detroit Fish House, we are committed to excellence in all that we do. Our seafood is all “top of the catch” and impeccably fresh and the wines are hand-selected from all over the world to complement our menu. The most important component though is, of course, our service. It is the mission of the Detroit Fish House to exceed our guests’ expectations for extraordinary food, beverages and guest service in a warm & welcoming facility. This will be accomplished through the relentless pursuit of excellence in all of our menu items, an unwavering commitment to exceptional guest service and our sincerest desire to treat everyone as if they were a guest in our own home.

Our server, Jenny, was absolutely perfect. The food was great. We were surprised that they had to move tables together for just 5 people, it was uncomfortable because someone would have had to sit on the large crack in the middle so one of our party requested a chair and sat on the end. Our gratuity was added on because we were considered a large group! I would have given that much, anyway. It felt a bit insulting. And Jenny brought our Graduate a special dessert. That was the icing on the top!

Detroit Fish House is our go-to for special occasion dinners, and they rocked it out once again for my mom's 86th birthday. The lobster bisque was decadent, the shucked oysters super-fresh, and the ahi tuna perfectly seared. We had a group of 9 of us plus a toddler. They provided a clean high chair with coloring page and crayons that kept my granddaughter busy for two hours while we ate. Our server Matthew was on-the-ball refilling drinks, water, and clearing the many plates from our seafood feast. If there was any noise in the restaurant, it was probably our table. Lol! An evening filled with laughter and great food: Perfect!!!!

It was not busy but seemed to be waiting on drinks often. One person in the group didn’t get their food for 15 mins after the others there was a mistake in the kitchen with it.

The food was all excellent and we liked the atmosphere. Towards the end of our visit, however, our waitress was hard to find.

Our waitress, April, really went out of her way to make my wife feel special on her birthday. The food was incredible. Loved the Halibut Special and wish it would be a permanent addition to their menu.
