Desi Vega is the restaurateur of Desi Vega's Steakhouse, Mr. John's Steakhouse, and Desi Vega's Prime Burgers & Shakes. Desi grew up in the restaurant business and was groomed by Ella Brennan at Commander's Palace, Ruth Fertel of Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and Emeril Lagasse. His attention to detail and commitment to excellence makes for a truly memorable dining experience.
Our USDA Prime steaks are carefully selected, hand-cut and aged for tenderness, then seared to perfection and served on a sizzling plate. Seafood selections include steamed crabs and lobster, Gulf fish in various preparations each day, and plenty of other seafood.

The service and ambience were top level. Our waiters were just so incredible, especially Josh. Our drinks and appetizer were fantastic. Unfortunately our bone in Ribeye fell short. It was way too salty. The Mac & cheese had some sort of roast non the bottom that clashed badly when eaten with the ribeye. Our potato au gratin was good but the bottom portion was mashed potatoes. Our dessert was delicious and its presentation was beautiful. All in all we will try this place again but get something different, as we really enjoyed the service, location, along with the look and feel of the place. I was just disappointing.

Great food but slow inattentive service high priced noisy and not a great experience. Better to go to ruths or Keith youngs for a better experience.

The food and the service were both exceptional. I would say the ambience was just average, but I was going for the food, not the furniture or decorations

While All the food was for the most part acceptable, I have had much better quality dishes during my visits to various locations of Desi Vegas. What I really had a problem with was the service… positively abysmal. While we were seated promptly, drink orders were taken and took it in ordinate amount of time for the drinks to reach the table. Our orders were forgotten and courses were brought out of order. When they were finally brought after having to harass the wildly elusive waiter, they reached our table, incorrect, and cold. A simple lunch became an over 3 hour affair after which no one even wanted to entertain the notion of a dessert or coffee as we just wanted to get out hell there. The waitstaff was absolutely incognito and when they chose to show up , they were unprofessional,inattentive, and unresponsive.We spent most of the lunch with dirty plates and cups sitting our table while our water glasses remained empty. This was supposed to be a celebratory lunch for our family and it really was a sore spot in which should’ve been a wonderful day. When brought to the attention of management it was received with absolutely no effort to right an egregious wrong… PS we were charged for the food that was incorrect! I would steer clear and find another establishment.
