Denino’s Pizzeria is a landmark in New York, with our award winning, thin-crust pizza.

We originally opened in 1937 as a full tavern on Richmond Avenue, Staten Island until Carlo Denino introduced Pizza in 1951. Since then, Denino’s Pizzeria and Tavern has been renowned for our pizza and Italian cuisine which we always prepare fresh daily. We use our family’s recipes for Chicken Parmigiana, Meatballs and past, over the years we’ve added our own version of tavern favorites like Wings, Scungilli and Hero Sandwiches.
Everything is always made from scratch, never frozen, and cooked to order.

Whenever New Yorkers come home, they come home to Denino’s Pizzeria

Denino’s is a good pizza place and this location is in a fun area of the city. Prices though are absolutely out of hand. We ordered much less and at another place afterwards. Really nearly $17 for an order of Mozzarella Sticks?!? Prices are just totality out of hand $33 for Pepperoni & cheese pizza?!? We probably won’t be coming back anytime soon as the price gouging is just a bit ridiculous.

Went here on a recommendation for the pizza and it did not disappoint!! Somehow they were able to get the perfectly thin crust both crispy and with a great chew! Highly recommend the Original and the Garbage pies.

They charge one price for cash and another price for credit and do not inform you of this. The food is mediocre at best.

I give this place a 4 because the food was excellent. We ordered Baked Clams, cacio Pepe, penne, and a half sausage / mushroom and half white / spinach pizza. All of it was excellent! This place is way too loud. It’s impossible to have any sort of conversation at the table without screaming. They have sound dampers on the ceiling so they’re aware and I’m not sure what else that can do but the noise level is really tough. Service was mediocre. I would not go back but I would order take out.

The waiter and the rest of the staff were excellent. We had so many questions and they helped us when our phone wasn’t charged and allowed us to charge our phone. We had a lot of questions about the area. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. The only issue I have was that the food came out a little cold. It was delicious, but a little cold. We would return again

The best spot in all of NYC! Elevated casual, great scene, fantastic food. You walk in and automatically feel like family! Thursday night martini is a personal favorite of mine. You gotta check it out.

Being a first-timer in New York City, this was the perfect place if you're looking for great New York style pizza/pasta, "NYC vibes," and in a poppin' neighborhood where you can hit a few pubs after. 10/10 would recommend!

Chicken Marsala not worth the $ … watered down Marsala sauce and canned mushrooms used. Ugh! Good for NYU students whose parents pay their bills. No flavor … how would you if Marsala wine was watered down. Been living in the neighborhood 60 years. First time here … HORRIBLE. Better off at Villa Mosconi or Carbine but they were not opened at that time, Fiaschetteria, Cotenna, Via Carota etc Tried … never again. Will continue to go to the above mentioned.

Deninos is the most underrated spot in the city. The food is off the charts good. Pizza is pretty much the best in the country. And I am a NYer so this is not some amateur opinion. Prices are great, everything about this place is the best. I recommend the MOR pie.

Denino's is a long time favorite of mine. It kills me to NOT get the pizza but last night my friend and I both wanted the chicken parm, which is always good but super filling. Plus we had garlic bread and salad so we had no room for pizza. We ate outside and the weather was great, so that was wonderful. But in the middle of the meal, two large parties were seated in front of and behind us and the noise level kept us from lingering. Not the restaurant's fault, but mentioning it because one of the questions was "noise level." Generally, this is one of the few really consistent favorites of mine in the village.

Great food! We had a great time. Food was amazing. We tried 4 different options of pizza and had some apps. The Italian won ton was awesome. Who knew the Italians could ROCK a won ton? The owner Joe was gracious and all the staff were attentive . Will definitely return and bring new friends !

Ordered pizza and garlic bread, both were a bit overdone to our taste (charred crust and a bit dry). Had cheesecake for dessert and it was average, properly done but nothing exceptional. The atmosphere of the restaurant was extremely noisy and a UFC fight was being shown on the TVs above the bar despite no patrons seeming to have interest in the fight. Service was adequate but a bit slow. Very average experience overall, did not meet the high expectations I had after reading other reviews.

First timer in New York! Denino’s had great reviews so my wife and I decided to try before comedy show. Pizza was best I’ve ever had and the espresso martini was perfect! Will come here again when we visit.
