L'Izakaya Den est un célèbre resto-bar japonais de Denver conçu sur le modèle des « after hours » animés installés un peu partout au Japon. Le restaurant est situé dans la rue South Pearl Street et est la deuxième adresse des frères Kizaki, les fondateurs et propriétaires du Sushi Den. Le menu se présente sous la forme de tapas. Il est composé de petites assiettes japonaises traditionnelles ainsi que de plats aux saveurs et aux textures internationales. Parmi les plats japonais les plus classiques, vous dégusterez des sashimis et des nigiris, provenant d'expéditions de pêche quotidiennes dans les quatre coins du globe, ainsi que des boulettes de pâtes et des plats de nouilles. Cet établissement sert des plats internationaux dotés de multitude de saveurs différentes. Le restaurant propose des mets uniques, notamment de la salade panzanella grillée (des gros morceaux de chair de crabe, de la focaccia grillée, du fromage de chèvre local, des pistaches, de la vinaigrette au vin de prune), des hamburgers au bœuf de Kobe (foie gras poêlé et frites). Un menu sans gluten est également disponible. Enfin, l'Izakaya Den organise une happy hour populaire un jour de semaine de 17h00 à 18h30.

Outrageously great sushi from neighboring Sushi Den. Service was very good and our server was very knowledgable explaining the various and freshest offerings.

The raw scallops are INCREDIBLE! Their house sake is great, as well. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Colorado

We have eaten here before and it’s always delicious. We went on Mother’s Day and it was busy, to be expected. I waited for 45 minutes for a sushi roll, and the server made sure it was comped-much appreciated as my husband had finished his dish (upon my insistence-I didn’t want anyone eating a cold steak and potatoes). I appreciate that our server recognized the wait and I didn’t have to mention it. Classy service on that front.

Sadly, this is the worst review I have ever given this [usually] amazing restaurant. I've been going to Sushi/Izakaya Den for decades and I'm worried it's starting to slip... sadly, this has not been my first bad experience with them in the past year. We went for mother's day and it was no busier than usual but service was TERRIBLE AND they missed a significant portion of our order altogether. Two of us were there for over an hour and a half spending most of the time waiting with up to 30 minutes between plates being served with no check-in. Keep in mind, it was just me and my 80 year old mom and we had a small order (one sashimi plate, a light sushi order, and one roll). I watched the server come out once with an incomplete order and have to go back to the sushi chefs for them to do the other 1/2 of what was requested. They ENTIRELY MISSED AND CHARGED US FOR $40 worth of sushi. I don't know what's going on there, I've heard from former staff that they are NOT treated well and maybe it's starting to show... luckily for them, the sushi is still some of the best in the state - that might be their saving grace these days...

Had an amazing evening celebrating our son’s birthday. The restaurant is gorgeous, food was impeccable - some of the freshest and most innovative dishes we’ve had in a long time! Such a treat to have fresh seafood here in land locked Denver! Our server, Shane, made the evening that much more special. He took so much time with us and his knowledge, advice, fun personality and professionalism was the cherry on top of an exquisite evening! Will definitely be back! Thank you Izakaya Den for a very special evening!

Everything was wonderful! We love this place! We ate upstairs for the first time and just loved it. The bar is great upstairs.

It was our first visit to Izakaya Den with friends. The menu was a mix of "true" Japanese dishes and fusion dishes which appeal to a wider variety of diners. Their extensive sake menu was impressive and I enjoyed Suigei, which our server recommended. The fresh fish was delicious as well as the hamachi kama, calamari and various rolls. Next time, we'll sit at the Sushi Den counter to interact with the sushi chefs. One thing I noticed is that there weren't other Japanese diners. Normally, at any ethnic restaurant, I like to see who's dining for authenticity.

I have such a great experience at Izacaya. I arrived late due to traffic and they still got a table for us. The chef was great. Everybody treat us so nice.
