DEEP SUSHI, a Deep Ellum resident for 26+ years has established itself as one of the premier sushi restaurants in the Metroplex. Deep Sushi has been named "Best Sushi" in Dallas from the Observer, Where Magazine, D Magazine and ticket to the city. We also have a full complement of Japanese dishes, filet mignon, lobster and decadent desserts all prepared by the chef's at Deep Sushi. Our dining room seats 80 comfortably and is perfect for a wedding, private party or entertaining clients and guests.

We were seated and greeted right away but unfortunately that's where the good service ended. Our server was very nice but not good at checking back in with us. My husband ordered a vodka martini straight up with a twist. It was practically all lemon juice. They were also out of the white wine I wanted. The food, however, was delicious. The miso soup had great flavor, the steak tataki was perfectly seared and our rolls were great.

The sushi was delicious but the service was not! We had to ask for plates as we were sharing several Sushi rolls. The food was served but we didn’t have plates, soy sauce, ginger or wasabi! The waitress never checked on us so we had to flag her down to get anything including our check. We will NOT be going back!!

Tried and true sushi. Loved the boat. Sad they got rid of the vegetable tempura after it had been a solid menu item for at least 20 years. Servers were very unknowledgable, and on the slow side despite it not being very busy. We were a larger group, which made it tougher, and eventually they figured out their flow (or perhaps we just drank enough not to care!). Regardless, we had a great experience and enjoyed all the sushi.

It was pretty disappointing. We had reservations and got stuck in the far back corner of the side room. The gyoza and tuna tower were good, my husbands sushi roll was lackluster. Our server seemed pretty distracted (no obvious reason why as the restaurant was not busy). Our drinks were so delayed we’d already received appetizers and entrees before they were brought out.

Great as always! Waiter was fantastic! Good always good and the margaritas were amazing!
