David Burke Tavern is a modern American restaurant by award-winning Celebrity Chef David Burke. Situated on the first two stories of a stately townhouse on New York City’s Upper East Side, the restaurant showcases Burke’s creative and contemporary approach to classic fare – often with showstopping presentations. Signature dishes highlight seafood, steakhouse staples and beyond, including Lobster Dumplings with spicy tomato, Crab Cake Pretzel Raft, Tavern Cheeseburger, and Burke’s famous “Clothesline” Maple & Black Pepper Candied Bacon, plus a full SUSHI MENU. David Burke Tavern offers dinner, bar and lounge menus, as well as multiple private dining spaces including the intimate Himalayan Salt Room lined with pink sea salt bricks. Private dining spaces can accommodate anywhere from 10-100 guests, with options to reserve floors and the full restaurant.

    We celebrated our first Anniversary, at the place where we had our first date. Beautiful experience… Perfect food! Definitely, we want to go again!

    AMAZING PRIX FIXE. We had the kale salad and salmon both were delicious and the portions were extremely generous. We will be back!!

    Actually a very nice evening but the food seemed a bit less than amazing - the ingredients were top notch but the combinations were somewhat strange Vegetables in a burrata salad were bit underdone Needed a bit more flavor or spicing in some of the dishes - especially the scallops Drinks were ok but also quite conventional Overall a decent place and high quality but not really going to impress foodies

    I hadn't been to DBT in years and was shocked to find it in its current state. The waiter was surly (after we waited quite awhile, we got his attention and he yelled at us, "Give me a minute"). My friend ordered salad as his side, but the waiter brought (soggy!) French fries. The food was expensive and not good. My quinoa salad had hard (undercooked) quinoa and one of the main "veggies" was a mound of raw red onions. The "music" (awful old-time pop songs...totally wrong for the elegant space) was being blared; we asked for it to be turned down, which they did. I had chosen the restaurant for a celebration with my friend. I was embarrassed by my choice!

    Food was fine, service was good but the most disappointing thing was being seated in a room that is usually used for private parties. The atmosphere in the room was terrible and really took away from the experience.

    Food was creative, fun and tasty. Atmosphere was comfortable with touches of whimsy throughout. It was a wonderful way to spend Mother’s Day

    I’ve been here many times and always good. Came for Mother’s Day and what a disappointment. First, $80 prix fixe for brunch? One meal was a lobster dumpling, salmon Benedict and a cake for $80? Then they tried to tell us the clothes line bacon was a $24 supplement. It costs $24 on their regular menu so how could it be a supplement. One of the entrees was wrong. My cod was overcooked. Then while waiting for the correct entree, they brought out our desserts before one guest had the entree. Been there many times but I think it ends today.

    Mr. Bai, The mixing up of courses was completely our fault. Your server should also have checked on you to ensure satisfaction with your meals. I will address both of these issues with that server. We have always offered the bacon as an additional upcharge to our holiday prix fixe menus, and our pricing is in line with similar restaurants. Please allow me to show you that your experience yesterday was a one-off, and not what we aspire to have our guests experience at David Burke Tavern.
