Dat’s Italian is a family-owned and operated Italian restaurant. We pride ourselves on serving some of the best and most original Italian food in the Colorado Springs area.
We Love to cook, serve, and share our dishes with you!
Popular menu items include chicken cacciatore, eggplant parmesan, chicken parmesan, veal
parmesan, Lasagna and many Italian specialties! Make sure you ask for some of our home-made

Parking for Dat's Italian! is very easy. There is street parking and a large public lot behind our restaurant. You can enter the public parking off of Colorado avenue and 26th St. Once in, you meander down right behind Dat's Italain! There is an alley beside our restaurant for easy front access.

This was our first time at Dat's Italian. The food was outstanding. We hadhad Pasta Primavera and Parmesan Pangasius. They were delicious. We will return and make this our go to italian restaurant.

We were excited to try this place for Mother's day. The atmosphere was great but the food was lacking. The Italian food was very Americanized. Did not seem authentic and was very pricy for what we received.

We all enjoyed It was us , the grandparents. Both of our kids and their families . 9 of us . All of us enjoyed our food . The staff was great We were a little noisy but I don’t think we disturbed any one. We usually go to buffets but this was much better .

Took my wife here for our Anniversary dinner, the lasagna and wine were outstanding! Will definitely be returning for future date nights. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful dinner at Dat’s Italian! The food was amazing, service was top notch, and the wine list was great. After learning we were from out-of-town, our server gave us great local recommendations. Highly recommend!

There was a problem with orders getting to the kitchen. Took 45 minutes just to get bread and then another 20+ minutes for our entree. Only two servers were doing it all — serving, greeting guests, and fixing drinks. While we were there, 2 or 3 different groups came and left. We don’t need to go back.

Food was fine. They only had one server working. While he was busting his tail, it did slow drink service down. The overlap of Italian music playing from the restaurant dining room and rap music playing from the kitchen was a little annoying. At least they could have played some decent rap music. Tupac, Biggie, WuTang, etc.

Great experience. This will become our Go To place for Italian! Met one of the owners and he s Was so kind. Food was outstanding and we had a great time! So much good food on the menu have to keep going back! Wish I could just have a table reserved daily!!!!!

As always, the food was outstanding. Eggplant parmigiana, chicken parmigiana and lasagna were delicious. Service was great, especially for a busy night. We’ll be back!

Food was excellent and worth the long wait. The restaurant seemed very short staffed with only 2 people working the entire front of house, as a result, service was pretty slow. Our server/manager was very responsive and ensured we were still happy diners.

Reservation for Valentine’s Day with fixed price. Wine they selected for package was horrid. The server rushed courses, bringing out before we finished eating each course. Main course therefore got cold. Salad drenched in raspberry dressing, minestrone soup was very bland. Entire dining was rushed. Won’t go again

The Valentine's Day Special Dinner was average. Our biggest complaint was that we felt rushed. It was as though Dat's had overbooked, and they were trying to turn tables as fast as they could. It felt like a school lunchroom with table service. We were done with our meal in 35-minutes, but made sure we drug out dessert and the last glass of wine until we had been there a full 60-minutes. It was disappointing that the shrimp scampi was served cold. I would recommend Dat's Italian to a friend, but not for one of their special occasion promotions. They would not "hold" walnuts on the strawberry salad so we opted for the caesar salad.

Bread $4.50 but you got a whole loaf!! Enough for 4 people. Mussels came hot with a really great sauce Lasagna was a little cheesy but part of the recipe and really delicious Shrimp scampi super tasting Desserts lemon cake and coffee cake like a tisramisu was really good Service was great but it was a Monday night Staff recently changed to other family members and was great Only downside was using salad greens in Caesar salad vs romaine Definite return to this place

The food was really fantastic. The meals do not come with a salad or bread. So if you order lasagna, for $21, be aware that you will only get a slice of lasagna. It did not feel like a complete meal to have no salad/vegetables come with the meal. It is an additional $6 for salad and an additional $4.50 for bread.

Service was great, waiters were both very attentive and had great suggestions as it was our first time here. Tried the lemoncello and it was delicious and strong! Food was very good and was fairly priced compared to other restaurants and chains.

Haven't been to Dat's Italian in a few years due to the substandard food and service, thought we would give it one more try today. We started the meal off with a Caprise salad which was three pieces of dried mozzarella on tomatoes with very little balsamic. For the main course I ordered the chicken with truffles over linguine with Alfredo and my wife ordered the lasagna, the chicken was dry and over cooked the alfredo was almost clear soup, i couldn't find any truffles but there were several scallions that were under cooked, and the pasta was just bad. My wife's lasagna after you cut through the inch thick cheese, we couldn't find any pasta, the lasagna tasted like pure garlic and oregano. I remember now why we stopped going to this restaurant if anything it has gotten worse over the years.

The staff were welcoming and attentive, even though it was busy due to the NYE holiday. The food came fairly quickly and was delicious! We had the fried mozzarella and chicken parmigiana. So good!!

We have gone to Dat’s Italian for 4 years for our New Year’s Eve dinner. This year was just as excellent as the other 3 years. We have always had the most friendly staff wait on us. It has become a tradition for 4 of us and we look forward to that tradition to continue. The lasagna is wonderful. We also ordered chicken Alfredo which was equally delicious. The house salad was fresh and crisp as well as the Caesar salad. We also had Pasta shrimp Alfredo at the suggestion of our waitress and it was as wonderful as she promised. The last dish we had was Mussels in white wine. Our only suggestion for that dish was wishing it had more pasta with it.

Liked location except parking lot are all 'pay to park'? Old Colorado City is fun to shop, not so fun evenings after all the shops are closed. Service was excellent!

Amazing food, service, and all around experience! So many amazing dishes to try so we were a little sad to have to choose only one dish each. But the lasagna, chicken Alfredo, and clam pasta were all amazing! So was the fresh bread and oil, the fried mozzarella, and the Caprese!

Amazing Dinner (we had the fish), great ambience but more cozy casual which is perfect for us, knowledgeable and friendly servers. Would be nice to have bread WITH the meal but the french beead we ordered was perfecto! Will be back for sure!

Dinner was delicious. Excellent Italian food in Colorado Springs. The lasagna was amazing, the bread and fresh Mozzarella were delicious appetizers.

Parking for Dat's Italian! is very easy. There is street parking and a large public lot behind our restaurant. You can enter the public parking off of Colorado avenue and 26th St. Once in, you meander down right behind Dat's Italain! There is an alley beside our restaurant for easy front access.
