A tasteful setting in so many ways! The delicious wine & the diverse sharing menu was ideal for a girls night out, in cozy & modern confines with attentive service all around.

The food at Darling is fantastic. We had the brioche French toast, the potatoes, the Turkish eggs, and the dill eggs Benny. Each one was more delicious than the last. What I most loved, and mentioned to our helpful server, was the thoughtful attention to detail in the food. The dishes were complex and balanced and interesting and flavourful in deep and light ways. We will definitely go back even though it is a 40 minute drive from our house.

Food was unique and different, great for sharing with friends. Ambience and mood of the restaurant was relaxing especially after a long day of work. Seats are limited and it was full (even for a Tuesday evening). Definitely would go back again! I just wish there was a bit more to their food menu.

Took an out of town client here and he was super impressed by the food. It was unique and delicious. It was my second time here and was just as wonderful. A great place to dine- would impress any foodie or novice alike.

Went here with my husband for a date night & was pleasantly surprised. We were served by one of the owners who was very polite & attentive. We were offered suggestions for wine & food which we really enjoyed. The beef carpaccio was absolutely delicious & would come back specifically for this and some orange wine. The only reason I’m not giving 5 star on the food is because we wish we could have tried the croquettes (sold out) & the original linguine dish (weren’t lovers of the pesto on but it was still mid) everything else was very very amazing. I thought the pricing was also very reasonable compared to a lot of other cocktail/small plate places in Edmonton. Overall me and my husband really enjoyed this space and the vibe so we would definitely come back!

Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. The menu was interesting and the food excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive. Would happily go there again.

Enjoyed the food, but music was to loud, could not hear people sitting at table. Because of loud music the people next to us were speaking very loud & it was irritating. Service was good.

Amazing as before ! Highly recommend this spot ! Surprise wine list with owner from Australia! Intimate, personal able staff with the knowledge and passion for service ! Definitely the salad with the cabbage ! And pasta ! Omg flavour !!!!! Over the top ! Nothing bad about this place , a true gem ! Run don’t walk to Darling ! ❤️

Really enjoyed the food, and the coffee refills occurred - which is no longer a given in many restaurants. The salad dressing was light and tasty, the fresh dill aromatic, and the side of potatoes, really tasty. The poached eggs were cooked as they should have been for food safety reasons - but that is not to everyone's liking. But the bread was so toasted, that I found it hard to insert my fork to cut off a piece of the mushroom tartine. In fact, at one point, I examined the fork, wondering if it was defective, bent or what - and discovered that the tines were closely spaced and the width of the fork was narrower than others. The dish was tasty nevertheless, and this won't prevent me from trying this restaurant again.

Per our first two visits, service was exceptional and the food was absolutely delicious. We have now tried 6 brunch items all which were fantastic. Darling is our new favourite brunch spot, for sure!

Really happy our group agreed to try Darling. Atmosphere was relaxing, the brunch plates we ordered (Brioche french toast and Darling Plate) were very good, and our server (Tom) sets the bar on commendable service.

First time visiting and it was above my expectations. Great brunch options and fairly priced. We had a great time and enjoyed the food and orange wine. Service was prompt and professional.

Restaurant has a comfortable vibe. It was very quiet as it was a Sunday evening but did not deter from our experience. Our server was exemplary! Food was very good, cabbage salad was interesting combinations and delicious, beef carpaccio was fresh and flavorful, miso cod so good and melted in the mouth, striplion steak done perfectly! My only criticism is the wine list; for calling itself a wine bar, the selections are few and quality lacking and still expensive.

Excellent service, wine & outstanding cuisine. The strip-loin could very well be one of the best pieces of beef I’ve had in my life. The sear, the jus & the cook level combine to create something so pleasurable on the palate.

Our visit to Darling was exceptional. Stepping into the restaurant, you are enveloped by an ambiance perfectly suited for those looking for a discreetly elegant and intimate atmosphere. Oh my gosh would I eat there again! First off, the ambiance of the restaurant was so cozy and inviting. We ordered the brassica salad, house made linguini, miso cod, and strip loin steak. The portions were a bit small for 4 people but each dish was unique with flavour and texture. As we finished one dish the next one arrived, creating a one of a kind experience every time. We completed the meal with the dark chocolate coffee cake and the crème brûlée. Both desserts were phenomenal.

Darling is such a gem of a place, bright with lots of lovely plants. Music was just right, allowing us to enjoy the lunch. Person that checked our reservation and lead us to our table was not in the greatest mood; there was no welcoming smile nor acknowledgment that he has heard our name; just follow me.. Once seated, our server was lovely and attentive. I had Darling platter and it was really delicious, eggs poached to perfection, bacon crispy, fromage blanc very much like a burata I love. I would prepare hash browns by frying them at a lower temp for longer and crisp them at the very end. It was like a giant latke but the shredded potatoes in the middle were not fully there yet. Darling is a wonderful neighborhood gem and we will be back.

I've been here 4 times now and this place is a real gem. Inventive cocktails, thoughtful ever-changing wine list and creative dishes set against a backdrop of authentic and unpretentious service. A big shout-out to Hanna who has served me twice and one of the owners who is about as hospitable and down-to-earth as they come. You gotta check this place out.

Beautiful little neighborhood gem by Mill Creek Ravine. Our server was wonderful, the ambience was perfect. We elected to do a tapas style sharing with our group. Loved the oysters with dill mignonette, brassica salad, and miso cod. The wine poached pear & cream was the least favourite dish of the evening. Look forward to trying out the brunch menu!

We had another fantastic brunch at Darling! We tried 2 new dishes and loved them both. My husband exclaimed that “Darling is to brunch what Bar Bricco is to dinner.” That is the highest praise! We will definitely be back to try 2 new dishes.
