We have been to Daniella's a number of times in the past year and the food is always excellent. We went with a party of 4 last night and things started out great with an attentive server but as the crowds built we found ourselves waiting longer then we normally do for both food and drinks and check ins. we had just got our salads to eat and the appetizers arrived with no plates, serving utensils or way to eat them since we were sharing. It took about 10 minutes for someone to come remove the salads and plate for the appetizers by which time they were luke warm. When the dinner arrived it was mostly good as usual but not really hot, felt like it had been under the heat lamp too long. Rest of the night went the same, waiting for the server to come and clear the table while we had no drinks and then waiting for the check. What usually takes us about an hour and a half from start to finish took 2 hours and 15 minutes. Still a fun night but seems like they were a little off their game...

They were very late for our reservation (a half hour) and hosts completely ignored us the whole time we were waiting and most likely forgot about us until we said something. Very poor hosts. Server was very good and food is great. Very very loud. Long time Daniella's fans but this was disappointing.

The noise level was so loud as to be beyond pain and worsened by a thumping base musak tape! Our waitress, Dominique was charming and trying very hard, but there were multiple other problems! The hostess “seated” us at a table where another diner had parked their walker, so that only one of us could sit until we called for assistance. Another diner entered and was seated carrying a teacup size black poodle. Dogs are still illegal in MA restaurants! Finally, the food runner served the dinners we ordered to the table beside ours. When they told him the orders were incorrect, he swapped the position of the plates but still at that table. Then the waitress was called and she told him he was at the wrong table, where he picked up the dinners and delivered them to us after they had been on that table in two different locations, also illegal! At that point, we paid for our drinks and left. This was our second unsuccessful attempt to dine there. There will not be a third.

Waitress was superb, very knowledgeable and friendly. Gnocchi with scallops dish was a tad over salted but still delicious. All other entrees were fabulous.

Waitress was bad- took long time for drinks to arrive- she asked if we wanted more bread - we said yes- she didn’t bring. We asked for milk with coffee- she didn’t bring- we asked again- she didn’t bring-I had to ask hostess to bring finally but coffee was cold by that time. She gave wrong leftovers to us- found out when we got home- Not a great experience for a birthday dinner or any dinner.

Daniella’s is consistently delicious! It is our favorite north shore Italian spot. The service is great, as is the ambiance and the food is even better!
