Da Marino Restaurant is a uniquely sophisticated dining experience unlike any other in New York City. Just a few blocks from Times Square and located in the heart of theatrical shows, Da Marino welcomes all diners into a sweet escape that provides all the amenities of Italy for a day away from the ordinary.

The luxurious experience features exciting live music as well as fresh Italian food prepared with the love and wealth of knowledge that Chef Pasquale has gained from studying the art of Italian cuisine in Calabria, Italy. Chef Pasquale only uses the best ingredients to create this masterful cuisine. Our melt-in-your-mouth mozzarella comes from Naples, our tomatoes are picked from the finest vines of Italy and our bread and pasta are mad in-house.

Made reservations. Not busy on Sunday night. Located in small, narrow, long basement that is dark with no views. Very warm and not well ventilated. Restroom was incredibly run down and in need of repairs but felt clean. Bread was served with lentil soup which was decent. You can tell they are struggling because the manager was in and went to the different tables and helped clear the tables. Singer/piano player was not great, but you can appreciate they hired him. The waiter will comment if you don’t finish your meal and judge you for not getting leftovers To-Go. But other than that, the service was decent. The food was made quickly. The modified red snapper dish for dairy allergy was saturated in oil. The portions were huge. The food was average. The QR code on the check does not work to scan for phone. Not terrible, but not the best. Incredibly overpriced for generic items.

Terrible dinner. The restaurant was empty on a weeknight which should have been our first clue that dinner was going to be awful. The bruschetta was drowned in olive oil. The mussels were bland. They were in a terrible, too lemony, sour butter sauce. The pasta bolognese was OK. The pasta was much better than the meat sauce. We skipped dessert. Couldn’t wait to get out of there. And I am very sorry to say, the 70+ year old piano player and his spoken singing really ruined our dinner. He sang a few lines from many songs and spent most of his time talking to couple from Australia. When the woman complemented the staff on a delicious ravioli I thought, that’s impossible. I didn’t have the ravioli but I’m sure it was terrible. Don’t waste your money. There are many good Italian restaurants in the area, but this wasn’t one of them.

A lovely eclectic stop for a delicious dinner and live entertainment. Come on a Tuesday or Thursday night to hear Marcie Castro play a wide range of songs and engage diners in the fun.

The first thing you noticed when you walk in the door are all the pictures of famous people who have eaten at this restaurant. The food was delicious. They also had live entertainment. Overall, it was very enjoyable evening.

My family has been here before and enjoyed it but will not be returning after our most recent visit. The restaurant smelled. Our meals were not very good. The agnolotti was particularly disappointing. We will find a new Italian restaurant in Manhattan.
