Delicious food, amazing service -- and if you sit outside, in the comfortable, heated outdoor seating area, it's not very noisy. A special shout out for anyone avoiding gluten. Not only was our server exceptionally knowledgeable about which menu items contained gluten or might have cross contamination, but he brought a lovely basket of vegetables in place of bread.

I ordered a nicoise salad after confirming with the server that the tuna was fresh, and bantered about when it had been delivered. When the salad was served, the tuna was straight out a can, in fact it was still in the can's round form. Very disappointed because I had had good experiences in the past.

I was a little underwhelmed on my previous visit but we gave it another try because it's in the neighborhood. The waitstaff was super accommodating to a member of our party on crutches, and the four of us were seated at a generous 6 top. Our server was super professional as well as pleasant and absolutely every dish was delicious. We wanted to order more dishes than we could justify so we reined it in and ordered two dishes each. Many of the starters are portioned well for sharing. The Eggplant Confit is a must and the grilled octopus with stuffed rice cake was the most distinguished version of the dish I've seen on a menu to date.

I had the best roast lamb I've ever eaten in my life. The Matzoh Ball Soup was amazing - as were the Matzoh Balls themselves. It was a great Passover meal with my family, including the Seder plate, and I would eat there again in a heartbeat. Perhaps this Saturday night. Wow.

Food was delicious and service was right on. Lots of energy and smiles all around throughout dinner. Salmon, Brussel sprouts, tuna app, and cauliflower all cooked to perfection. Can’t wait to go back.

We came for Passover and it was good, but if you’re trying to stay Kosher for Passover (like myself), you may be slightly disappointed. The dinner was more K4P light. I would have appreciated being able to pick a meat or parve option and having a bit more knowledge of what’s in each item. I’m not super religious or anything and of course, I chose to eat out for our second night Seder, but we came specifically for a Passover meal and it wasn’t necessarily one. That said, the matzo ball in the soup was great. Flourless chocolate cake was really good. Israeli salad was good. Had a fish stew dish that was also good. Overall good experience, just hoped to celebrate the holiday a bit more and actually be able to be K4P, just at a nice restaurant as opposed to a home Seder or synagogue.

I was not a huge fan of the passover menu. Me and my partner paid for the pre fix menu. It felt some what of a rip off for what we got.

Really love the food and have been back several times. The Meze are outstanding- particularly the eggplant, spicy feta and red pepper spreads. The other winner were the steak kebabs. Plenty for two if you have some Meze. The only issue is the volume of the music. Great selection of tunes, just too loud.

The food is delicious. The portions enormous. Definitely big enough to share. We are really lucky to have Dagon on the Upper West Side. We sat outside and also got to enjoy the Broadway street scene.

I am a frequent customer and have always left great reviews. But last night- there were 3 of us and one of the dinner (skate) came cold. Everything on the plate was cold. She sent it back and they gave her a new one but it took a long time! We were almost done and our dinners were cold by the time hers came back. Not sure why this happened bc it was not busy. As I said- I come every few weeks and this has not happened before. It was not the servers fault.

Why do all restaurants play music at what seems to be a deafening level? Most diners are dining with others- I am a music lover but I’d rather choose what I listen to and I’d like to be able to converse without screaming

We switched our indoor seating to outside, and it was lovely. Service was very nice. Loved the complimentary bread basket with the delicious pain au chocolate. We both had the Israeli breakfast which has many yummy parts: 3 eggs (any way you choose); Jerusalem bagel, smoked salmon, hard boiled egg, Israeli salad, labneh, hummus, feta cheese.

Dagon is a beautiful place. Excellent service. Mezze appetizers outstanding Main courses not so much. But there are many great small plates— go for them. One negative comment. I told hostess it was my daughter’s birthday. And gave that info when I made the reservation. Nothing happened I was very disappointed

I ordered a medium rare tuna fish dish which came out cooked right, but cold. I sent it back and it came back hot, but overcooked. When asked by the manager Frank how was the dinner, I told him what happened but that it was very tasty. He did the right thing and comped the tuna. Not surprised given Dagon is part of the Chef Driven restaurant group. We go to their restaurants frequently and are never let down by the consistently excellent customer service and great food.
