Da Vinci , a traditional and casual Italian eatery in Waltham. Here, Chef Peppino will bring to you authentic Italian cooking that is accompanied by exceptional service and a warm and comfortable ambiance reminiscent of being transported to Italy itself.

We pride ourselves on using only the finest ingredients and sourcing from local organic products whenever possible. Our food, including our pastas and sauces are all house made and the authentic preparation of each dish highlights its natural and fresh flavors. The result is truly a difference you can taste with each bite. Our wine list features selections from Italy and the United States that serve to complement the dishes on our menu and we are always happy to accommodate any allergies or dietary restrictions.
After ten years at La Campania , Chef Peppino opened his own restaurant in Boston Shortly after the opening the restaurant, Da Vinci was recognized by the James Beard Foundation as “the notable new restaurant in Boston.”

Great food and service! Only issue is that most of the tables are high tops instead of standard height. Despite that we will definitely be back!

The service here is very good and friendly. The appetizers: fruito misto and meatballs were very tasty as was the short rib and pasta dish. Unfortunately, the other dishes ordered were not as well received. The steaks were large but lacked enough flavor and the bolognese was just “ok.” We so wanted to love this restaurant but it just fell short of expectations.

We were a party of five and two of us we not happy with our dishes. Others in our party thought it was ok, but nothing special. The food also took forever to come out. Our server came to our table four times to tell us that is should be out soon. We were starting to wonder if it was ever coming out! Definitely won't be returning.

The only real problem was reservation management, which is, fundamentally, a management problem. We arrived right on time for our 7:30, but had to wait almost 40 mins to get seated, and we were not alone. The very small waiting area in front was crowded with people waiting, and one large party gave up and left. After that, everything was very good, both service and food. A little loud, but nowadays, that's standard. The waitress (or manager, don't know) said our appetizer was complimentary due to the long wait. So of course we split the savings with her as an increased tip.

Nice place with a good Italian menu and a little bit of an Indian twist. Place seems to border on bar vs. restaurant. Food was very good. Tables are close together & noise level can get up there. It was a good vibe the night we were there, but a few overly loud folks well. Our table shared some apps: Arancini, Frito Misto and Eggplant. All good, eggplant stellar! Lasagna was delicious, as was the Lobster Ravioli. The Masala Ravioli was decent too. An Italian Ravioli with curry spiced sauce. Well worth it!!

DaVinci helped us celebrate two birthdays! Started off with our server Darcy's terrific recommendations- caprese salad and the fried misto - and added the house salad for some great shared apps. All 6 of us enjoyed our entrees. Service was fantastic- water glasses refilled before they were empty, asked frequently if we needed more drinks or anything else. They let us bring in a cake baked by a friend for the perfect ending to a great meal. Would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Our first dining experience at Da Vinci’s was outstanding. Waitress Lauren was attentive and brought each of our food courses out as we requested. We dined on the seafood fra diablo, veal parmigiana, veal Marsala and scallops. Each was delicious! Our favorite salad was of sliced beets, lightly fried goat cheese and pomegranates. The wine lust was extensive and priced very fairly. Cannot wait to bring friends!

Our second visit here. There definitely will be more. We ate lightly - I had only a house salad (which was outstanding) and crème brûlée. But the outstanding feature was the service, particularly the upbeat friendliness of the service and hostess staff. You don’t realize what a different experience it is until you have it. We ate at the bar, so kudos for the young but knowledgeable bartender Brendan, and to the hostess who was not only gracious st the entrance, but graciously helping the service staff when she had spare moments. Yes, customers notice things like that. Overall - great experience. Even the noise level, if not quiet, was better than most places I’ve been recently.

This was the first trip to Da Vinci Ristorante and enjoyed it very much! Service was friendly and prompt; servers were knowledgable and gracious. Menu was interesting and entrees were nicely prepared and presented. Portions ample (leftover chicken parmigiana) made a nice lunch), but still room for delicious dessert and cappuccino!

My recent visit left me with mixed feelings, but overall, it was a four-star affair. Upon arrival, our decision to make reservations proved wise as we were promptly seated without any wait. The ambiance exudes an inviting charm, perfect for a cozy evening out. Now, let's dive into the highlights of the dining experience. The short rib pasta is undoubtedly the star of the show--an unmissable delight that tantalizes the taste buds with its rich flavors and tender meat. Each bite was a testament to culinary perfection. However, not all dishes reached the same heights of excellence. The crème brûlée, though anticipated with eagerness, fell short of expectations. The lack of a crispy top left it resembling more of a yogurt consistency, a disappointing deviation from the classic dessert's signature texture. On the brighter side, the pistachio cannoli stole the spotlight with its impeccable execution and delightful flavors. A true indulgence that left a lasting impression. As for the masala ravioli, while tasty, it left something to be desired in terms of portion size. Its small serving left me grateful for the opportunity to share it as an extra, but it may have left solo diners feeling a bit underwhelmed if chosen as a main dish. In conclusion, Da Vinci's is a remarkable establishment offering a blend of highs and lows. This was our first visit, and we loved everything except the noise level. The house salad was exceptional. My lasagna was wonderfully different - perhaps the added béchamel just clicked with me. My partner’s boneless short ribs on peppardella were also wonderful. We sat at the bar. Although very busy, the service was excellent. We added DaVinci’s to our “favorites” list, so we definitely will return.

DaVinci's is a neighborhood treasure, serving up Italian staples with a fresh and vibrant flair, all accompanied by friendly and attentive service. If you're expecting carb-heavy plates designed to induce a food coma, you're in the wrong gallery. Instead, DaVinci's specializes in thoughtfully plated modern interpretations of classics like spinach ravioli, lasagna, and Bolognese. The vodka sauce steals the show with its harmonious blend of tomato acidity, buttery richness, and sharp cheese--truly a masterpiece on a plate. Even their arugula salad is a work of art, bursting with perfectly balanced acidity and sweetness thanks to their homemade balsamic dressing. Another great meal at Da Vinci, but made even better by our server “Sahara” (sp?). Personable, professional, warm, and she enhanced an already great experience. Nice value, nice attention to detail on every course. I recommend the restaurant, and HIGHLY recommend Sahara as your server.

For our date-night we chose to return to Da Vinci Waltham, and were not disappointed. We like to sit side-by-side, and Da Vinci takes reservations for bar seating, so that suited us well. The efficient and friendly bartender took great care of us as we made our way through Caprese (*truly* delectable cheese!), Scampi (the pasta was a wow, and plump shrimp completed the dish nicely) lamb chops (very delicate flavor, bountiful portion with a full meat/potato/vegetable dinner) and pistachio cannoli for dessert. Everything was delicious, and served timely but unhurried in the order we requested. Modest noise level was fine (though sometimes they have large parties that can get a bit raucous). Wines by the glass did not disappoint, especially the lovely Sangiovese we had with the lamb.

We had a great experience last night. The chicken Parm and eggplant were fantastic. Salmon also amazing. I would highly recommend this place for dinner. It was a little loud in there, but it was not bothersome at all. Very upbeat atmosphere. My cosmo was fantastic. Our waiter was Arbor - he very attentive. 👍👍👍

Our first visit and will not be our last! What a wonderful meal! It's a great spot and the set up inside has a bar, high top tables and standard tables. The food was exceptional. We shares the calamari appetizer (which included shrimp and zucchini sticks!). I had the shrimp scampi and my husband the chicken parmigiana! All delicious!! Great new spot.

Da Vinci was a cozy spot in the middle of everything on Moody Street. Parking was tough but managed a street spot somehow. The staff greeted us immediately and took us to the table we had a reservation for. Not a huge beer menu but the wine was very nice. The bread to start was fresh and they made some gluten free fresh for my wife. She said it was delicious. The Caesar salad was perfectly dressed and portioned. Our entrees came out reasonably quick and were perfect. Steak was medium as ordered. I got the Short Rib Tagliatelle. Homemade noodles and Demi sauce was amazing. Saved room for tiramisu which was very good. Highly recommended!

This is my second time at this restaurant in 2 weeks. Food was amazing! I ordered the veal piccata. So many great flavors. Last time I was there I had the salmon. Cooked perfectly. Our waitress was the best! She explained certain foods in each section of the menu. Always checking back to see if everything was ok and if we needed anything.

Great service and amazing food! The owner was very visible and interactive with all of the guests. Will definitely return!
