Established over 160 years ago, Customs House Bar is a renovated and modern gastro-pub with a sun-drenched parkside beer garden and intimate indoor dining area.

Today there are over twenty different beers to choose from - from boutique to international - rotating regularly. In addition to the extensive beer offering, Customs House Bar has a robust wine, spirits, and cocktail menu.

A group of us decided to try this venue for a work colleagues lunch. Perfect weather and we had a table outside well removed from other customers. Was peaceful and relaxed under the fig trees and we all commented on it being a good choice. Food was better than expected and a great range of craft beers. We will be back for sure.

We were grateful we moved to a table with lower chairs in a quiet corner of the beer garden as the high stools were too much for my 82 year old mother. The food was very good quality. We liked the leafy outlook under the trees. If I had know about the high stools when booking I would not gave chosen that area so maybe put that in the booking info. We were grateful it was quiet in the corner as we were trying to catch up with old friends away from the Vivid madness and were staying in the Rocks.

Everyone at our table found their meals was terrible. There was 10 of us. I would never eat there again.

Despite what this app says- Customs House Bar does not take bookings- BEWARE. I booked a table for 6 people- confirmation sent to my phone. Staff say they do not take bookings and were quite offhand about the fact. Luckily we got a table so it worked out well. Bar itself is good, nice to sit outside, drinks reasonable.

We were able to have our office Xmas function here for 20 + people without any hassle, fuss or problems. Our group commented the whole afternoon on how perfect a spot this was for our event, that kept it casual ,, fun and had the ability for everyone to mingle, the whole afternoon. It's a very good place for lunch...a beer or wine after work...we had 11 for lunch and the staff were great... We will be back.
