In the late 1800’s, Royal Street was home to a famous “curio” shop, a place where curiosities from all over the world could be had for a dollar or two. Today, the shop is no more, but the feeling of excitement and wonder still exists on Royal Street today. And so in the heart of the most premier art district in New Orleans, we’re bringing back the curiosity – reintroducing New Orleans to a circus of flavor so vibrant it makes other restaurants nearby pale in comparison.

    The food here was very good. Tate at the front door was amazing! However, the rest of the service here was terrible. The table right next to us received their appetizer and entrées before we were served any food. We were seated for 20 minutes when that table walked in. We sat upstairs, which was beautiful, but we heard our server in the back yelling obscenities, presumably either on the phone with someone or to a coworker. I am from New Orleans, so if you’re from out of town, there are much better choices a mere few steps from this place.

    While everyone was very friendly, the service was slow. Almost every table in our section had to get up at least once to ask for something they needed. Took 30minutes to order drinks and another 10 to get them. They forgot our starter. Etc. it was also very hot as they had the doors open.

    A very enjoyable experience. Limited menu but excellent food. Great bartender with craft cocktails. Awesome server with perfect suggestions for the folks that needed help. Will be back next visit to NO.

    I can't comment on the food since it never came. Waited for 20 minutes before our drink (2 beers) order was taken and waited another 30 minutes before we just gave up waiting and walked out to find another place to eat.

    Worst dining experience in memory. Group of 6 was seated and waited quite a while for server. Put in orders and waited. And waited. 5 glasses of water showed up. Took 40 minutes to get the 6th glass of water. Despite multiple requests, no more water. Eating outside in mid 80 degree and humid Starters for table showed up about an hour into ordeal. Server delivered without plates or cutlery. Came back with 5 saucers (yes, saucers, not salad plates) and cutlery setup. After another 35 minutes mains started to show up. None were hot. Never got more water. No opportunity to order more beverages. Food fair; service horrendous. This is only the second bad review we have done on open table and have dined hundreds of times.

    One of the only restaurants open at 9:30am vs 10. One of the more bizarre service experiences. Was asked to wait for rest of our party under my name when the rest were already there….and we were the only party there. Food came almost an hour after sitting down. Nothing welcoming about the staff at all. Food was fine with no objections but no compliments at the table.

    Great food! The crab cakes and onion rings were outstanding. The burger was a bit overcooked, but overall okay. Jambalaya was different than any we’ve had before, but so delicious. Bloody Mary was delicious, as well. We loved it— just probably wouldn’t get the burger again. We also got bread pudding, which was delicious. Tables are small & close together, but perfectly fine for us. Cute little restaurant. Our server was not great, but not bad either— just okay. We will definitely return.
