This my first time experiencing this restaurant. I brought my family in for Mother’s Day and it was not a good one. The service was slow and apparently the restaurant is short staffed. We waited for 15 minutes just for a hostess to show up who then told us to go to another hostess. Once we were seated, it took 20 minutes for someone to come to our table. That someone happened to be the manager on duty. Has he not asked if anyone served us it probably would have been a longer wait. He apologized for the long wait and sent a server to get us started. Between the long gaps in our server disappearing and waiting over an hour and a half with still not receiving our entrées, the whole experience was ruined.

We visited for Mothers Day. The restaurant had a larger attendance than expected, that’s what we figured. Our food took a while to be served and the quality of the meals was not the best, possibly due to the kitchen being slammed with orders. Our waiter understood and was sure to accommodate us and the manager was very friendly and helpful as well. Due to the inconvenience we received 50% off our individual meals and they kindly removed the dishes that were not tasty. Based on the service and the ambiance I would try it again when they are not as busy.

I went on a Sunday after 4pm. The inside wasn’t busy at all, most people were outside on the patio or roof top because the weather was so nice. The service was nice everyone was very accommodating. For a table of 7 everyone’s food came out within about 30 -40 of ordering .

We had an amazing experience at Culinary Dropout. We arrived a few minutes early and the staff was already ready for us. We were very well taken care off and were even asked several times how we were liking everything and if we needed anything else. Amazing service and even better food. The pretzel fondue was delicious and all the brunch menu items we tried were incredible. Also had delicious cocktails and mocktails as well. Cannot recommend enough.

Came for brunch on the rooftop. Food was great and our server was amazing. She deserves 5 stars. I definitely want to come back. I had the chicken biscuit and truffled deviled eggs. Amazing. The only reason reason I rated the service as a 3 because the host downstairs was a bit rude about the parking validation and the website wording is confusing. As I utilize mobile parking apps frequently I was able to maneuver and get the coupon code from the website entered. However when someone who is meeting you from out of town who is not familiar with mobile parking apps and you advise them to come on in and they can validate you inside and they fail to and said its on the website and your guest ends up paying for parking was kinda disappointing. Verbiage on the site. We validate parking for the first 2 hours of your visit. Your first 20 minutes are free. Scan the QR code located at our host stand to validate, or use promo code CDO10 when scanning the parking lot QR codes.

This was my second time at Culinary Dropout- the first was at the other location in Atlanta. Honestly, I preferred the dining experience at the other location more than West Midtown; my server was very nice but brought my food out with no silverware and I didn’t see him again until my food had gotten cold. The fried chicken was tasty; the skin was very crispy and the chicken was tender. The drinks can definitely be a little pricey here but the two I got were both good. Overall, it was an average dining experience, nothing was awesome and nothing was particularly awful. If you’d like to check out this restaurant I highly recommend the other location!

Food was lack luster… felt sick after eating here. Ordered an ice tea. Had maybe 4 ice cubes which quickly melted but it tasted like it was a flavored tea which I do not like at all. Tried to drink some of it but could only get down a quarter of the glass. Had the chicken katsu sandwich which the bread was saturated with oil and tasted disgusting. The chicken lacked any flavor or seasoning and the fries were cold. Would not recommend or come back.

We went to Atlanta's West Midtown's Culinary Dropout primarily for the rooftop and booked via Open Table. The reservation was not honored. We went with the flow and took a table downstairs. The service was slow and indifferent. The unfriendly server left our drinks at the bar so long we asked another server to find her. When finally delivered, they'd failed to make one of the orders. The server did not even attempt to correct the order. We insisted on getting the order correct. That took so long and we went to the bar to check on it. The manager comped one drink made. After some time we hadn't even been asked about appetizers. This was a very disappointing experience where I was hoping to invite some business guests who ended up going elsewhere. Since no food was ordered, and after speaking to managers, we left. Later, a manager called to apologize. We discussed that I'd booked redeeming some points which they said they contact Open Table to correct.

The food was great. The restaurant is clean and beautiful. My daughter had a great birthday experience. The service was top notch. I highly recommend this restaurant. We will most definitely be back.

Second time trying this place and my low expectations were met. This restaurant has SO much potential if operated efficiently. Staff needs more cohesiveness. Food and drinks were good once arrived but is missing the overall guest experience. Wish this restaurant nothing but the best.

It took approximately 30 minutes to get water and first round of drinks after being seated. Subsequent rounds of drinks also took approximately 30 minutes each time with many drinks being half full. Several orders came out wrong. It was my wife’s 40th birthday and the restaurant didn’t bring out a dessert for her.

While the server and manager were very nice, so pleasant actually the kitchen has a very serious issue, we waited an hr and a half for our charcuterie board and other items. It did not appear overly busy but everyone was waiting for food and drinks.

Our server Cozy was delightful, as was the entire staff. One of the managers, Ron, also came out to talk to us and make sure we were having a good experience. Location was clean, food was very good, service was very nice. I'd definitely go back!

Fantastic food! We loved the brunch. The waited was fabulous but they had more tables than waiters so there was a bit of delay getting our drink/food service but nothing that would prevent us from going back.

The restaurant was beautiful! The staff was friendly but understaffed and very busy which made us unable to be seated on the rooftop. The server only came to the table twice in our 2 hour dinner. The food was ok. The only good plate was the MAC burger. The flavor combinations in the wings, ranch, and brussell sprouts were a bit eccentric to say the least. The charcuterie board was very basic and the plating was not presentable at all. The drinks were all over the place in terms of flavors and combination. Definitely not worth the price but the ambiance and space was nice.

I must say this experience wasn’t like the first. We Drove 25 minutes to eat here. The server could not keep up with his tables and moved a glacial pace. Other servers were stepping in to pick up the slack. He never refilled or checked back in a timely way. I ordered the chicken again, one of their signature dishes. It arrived with no Biscuit, to which the server said they were running low 🤔🤨. Ok, low is not out. We went on with our meal. Watching three other tables not only receive biscuits after us, but then hear that they made other things after they ran out for other tables. I asked again, could he bring the missing food, since those tables had received it. He bold face lied and said, they burned the tray they were making…. How sir?!? That man directly behind you is currently eating biscuits…. We waited for 30 to get our check, then another 15-20 to cash out. We were practically sleep waiting.

Really cool spot drinks and appetizers were really good. However, the chicken entrée was overcooked and not moist at all and had no flavor. The brussels sprouts were really really good though.

They valid your parking for 2 hours.. cool but one drink takes approx 30 min to come out and food takes 1.5 hours. So you have 30 min to enjoy your food, pay your check and walk out to your car. We wanted dessert, but didnt want to wait an extra 45 min. The food tastes amazing, but not worth the wait.

Beautiful restaurant great food but it took over 30 mins just to get out first drink order in. I have been in the service industry and understand if it was slammed packed but it was a pretty quiet afternoon.

We opted for a late dinner due to prior activity we had scheduled to give us time to make it across town. We arrive 5 mins late for our reservation window in which the few minutes the hostess promise to seat us in turned into 15 minutes. The food was brought to the table after 1 hour after ordering cold and salads without dressings. To say we were sorely disappointed because we absolutely love the Birmingham location.

We arrived at the designated time of our reservation, but still waited half an hour before being seated. We requested outdoor seating, but the hostess still attempted to seat us inside. When we asked about outdoor seating, we were told to just go upstairs 😑. The service was less than stellar and the menu was very limited. The food was cold and small portions. Will not recommend or come back to this place.

Overall I can recommend this place. I’ve been here twice. The first time I dined inside (on the lower level) and the second time outside on the rooftop patio. The food was delicious both times. And the staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, a beautiful experience on the rooftop celebrating my friend’s birthday. The staff was a little absent minded during this second visit. They were very helpful and nice, just kept forgetting to bring things like cutlery and napkins. They also didn’t check in on our party as much as we saw some of the other tables. I think it was due to either our location (in the corner slightly hidden behind the fireplace wall outside on the deck) the shift change that happened during our arrival.

Decided to check this place out because of the variety on the menu and the location. Very nice atmosphere but the service was terrible. Our server was very nice and doing the best he could but the wait for food was very long and once the order came it was wrong and we were given very bizarre explanations as to why. Was looking forward to a nice, relaxed dining experience but expectations fell very short.
