Bienvenue au CUCINA urbana, un restaurant de quartier italo-américain avec boutique de vin. Il vous accueille dans un cadre décontracté, au cœur de Bankers Hill. Son menu met en évidence les cuisines de différentes régions d'Italie agrémentées de sa fameuse touche californienne distincte à base de produits de la ferme à la table, qui a fait la réputation de l'Urban Kitchen Group. Le chef Joe Magnanelli est heureux de partager son héritage italien et de concocter des plats frais, simples et de saison, notamment des antipasti, des pizzas traditionnelles, des pâtes et des piatti. Vous pourrez déguster du vin au verre ou découvrir la boutique de vin et choisir une bouteille parmi plus de 100 références au prix de détail (un droit de bouchon de 8 USD s'applique).     The food is really good but not satisfied with the service. We felt unwelcomed when we got thrown into a corner table, right next to a crowded/loud table even though many tables were available when we arrived. Our drinks took so long to arrive, and we did not order elaborate cocktails. I was unable to drink my wine when my food came and we felt orders are out of sync. Even though the food was really good, I did not fully enjoy my time there and having a mandatory surcharge for a place like this feels cheap.

    We had a great time at Cucina Urbana! The food was amazing! We had the crudo and polenta/short rib to start and then had the pepperoni pizza and gem salad to share, best pizza ever! For dessert it was the chocolate budino and it definitely did not disappoint. Our drinks were also so delicious, Hendricks martini and the lavender 75, just lovely. The service was also so fast! Once we ordered our food/drinks it was if they were there almost instantly. Kevin was our server and he is absolutely wonderful. We can't wait to go back!

    We had a fantastic dining experience at the restaurant, thanks in large part to Rosa, our gracious hostess. She made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our server was attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The highlight was the duck gnocchi – it was absolutely delicious paired with a nice Pinot Noir. Highly recommended!

    Had a great business dinner at Cucina. I had not been to the restaurant in too long and forgot how delicious the food was and how good the service is. The retail wine offerings are a huge plus, and it's fun to shop through the extensive offering of bottles they have on the racks. I had prawns, fried cauliflower appetizers, and the steak and it was all delicious. Cucina is a San Diegoo institution!

    First, it is difficult to park in the area because there is no valet parking. Inside , the noise level is rather loud making it difficult to have a conversation. We ordered two appetizers and an entree to share. We had a popular squash blossom that was tasty but a little greasy. We also tried the grilled octopus which was tender but a little excessive in the vinegar. We had a branzino which was good but not overly flavorful . The best part of the meal was the choice of wine which was a Sancerre that was excellent and reasonably priced.

    We had not dined here for about 6-7 years. It used to be a favorite. We are so glad we revisited this restaurant. It was just as good as we remembered. Our server Kevin was excellent, attentive and made some great suggestions on wine as well as the menu. Our food was excellent and we will definitely put this back in the rotation.

    I like the neighborhood and the high ceiling of the indoor seating. The food was excellent, especially the fried squash blossom. My husband loves his mushroom pizza with truffle oil. My daughter likes her pepperoni pizza. My clam pasta was very good, except for the sour note from lemon. I've encountered this once in France and did not like it either. Overall, our family will come back.
