Chef Giuseppe Monaco, Born in Capri, Italy where his passion for cooking took root starting from Mamma Rosa & Papa Giovanni… Giuseppe was trained in Culinary School in Capri, Italy and has over 30 years experience—Let Giuseppe take you to his home with the finest Italian meal you have ever had!

Cucina Caprese is a restaurant that uses traditional Italian culinary techniques including il Forno a Legna –old style wood-fired oven– cooking. We use seasonal, local and organic ingredients as well as meats, cheeses and extra virgin olive oil(EVOO) imported from Italy.

Our dough is prepared the authentic way of old Napoli–made only with special ‘OO Flour’, yeast, and water (no sugar oil, or vinegar). Our pizza is then prepared the traditional Neapolitan way, il Forno a Legna, in a wood-fired pizza oven on the side made to order!

I didn’t expect such bad service at a restaurant that had good reviews on yelp. We waited 15 minutes for menus, 10 more minutes for drinks and even longer for our order to be taken. The food was cold and came at different times to the table. Our bill was wrong twice which added to more waiting . When it was finally correct, more waiting time for waiter to come back for card payment.

Delicious food and great service! Pizza is always the best here. Oh, my husband and I were fighting over the croutons on their Caesar Salad 😄 so good! We will keep coming back to this place!

The Host/Chef Giuseppe and his entire team were hospitable and polite. There were 8 of us and everyone was delighted by the cuisine and atmosphere. This place is on point!

Pizza is the best for sure! 900 degree fired oven, the dough is unbelievable! Pasta and calamari was excellent. Delicious Pear Ricotta dessert.

The owner is amazing and creates great food. The pizzas and meatballs are the best I have had! They could use some more experienced help but I am sure they will figure it out. We love Giuseppe and the food. Go get some!

The most delicious pizza I have ever eaten! The crust was light and fluffy. I have never had crust like that before. I ate an entire margherita pizza (only 450 calories) and I did not feel stuffed or bloated. The Chef took our orders and talked to us about his restaurant. We will definitely go back. A neighborhood gem.

Extremely satisfied with our visit to Cucina Caprese, so much so that we booked another reservation for six of us next Saturday! Attentive friendly service with the owner coming by to make sure we were happy. We had the arugula salad, the burrata with roasted sweet potato and beets, and the mushroom prosciutto pizza followed by the pistachio ricotta pie. My favorite was the burrata, with the pizza a close second. Each was delicious by its own right. Grateful to have this hidden gem so close to us. ¡Grazie Cucina Caprese!

It’s hard to choose what’s better here: the food or the service. Both are as good as you can get. Garlic lovers don’t miss the focaccia! Known for its pizza, but the entrees are wonderful. Fish specials on Friday. Don’t let the strip mall location or the simple decor fool you; this is a great place to eat.
