Covino is a small owner-run wine bar & restaurant in the heart of Chester. We serve daily-changing menu of seasonally inspired small plates, guided by the quality and provenance of ingredients, with a real focus on simplicity and flavour. This is served alongside an extensive, yet thoughtfully chosen array of over 130 different wines from around the world, ranging from the classics, all the way through to the more left field.

    Fantastic from start to finish, superb bistro small plates expertly cooked and great wine alongside, service was friendly, knowledgeable and nicely informal (in a really good way), will definitely return

    Brilliant and unusual food and I must say really excellent service. A bit over-priced and this detracted from our overall memory.

    We were the only diners (13.00 on Friday) but we were made to feel special and there was a chance to chat to the proprietors.

    Great venue, food was exceptional the seats are a little uncomfortable but the food wine and service more than make up for this! Must visit if you appreciate good food and good wine

    Covino offers the best small plates dining experience in the North West. The menu combinations are imaginative & creative; the wines are superb & the welcome provided is both friendly and expert.

    What a superb wine restaurant, a huge selection of incredible wine with some absolute finds paired with a stunning menu of small plates. The seasonal menu changes constantly and offers some inspiring combinations. The service is excellent, attentive and knowledgeable, helping choose the options of wine and food. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.
