Very welcoming service. The Fish Pie and Moules Frites was really tasteful and the ambience makes a nice autenthic French bistro-feeling in a nice area of the city!

Service was very slow, got order of steak wrong had to send starter back. Manger wasn’t very pleasant to talk to

What a fabulous and varied restaurant. Low lights, sunlight, the atrium area was perfect for lunch with my friend. Terrific welcome at 1pm and attentive service throughout. The food itself was impeccable. Lightly seasoned, spot on 👌 Would highly recommend and will be back as soon as I can! Merci encore et a bientot. Ellie

Service was really slow and disappointing, we weren’t asked for our drinks order until 20 minutes after we had been sat down. A waiter come over and apologised about the slow service and said our food would be here any moment, which is obviously a lovely gesture but there was still an additional 15 minute wait after this. We spent 3 hours in total at the restaurant for what could have been 2 hours (we only ordered mains and desserts). The steak we all had was unfortunately very fatty too, but due to waiting so long it felt pointless to mention to the staff

Great food , friendly service but if you sit under the windows in the ceiling is absolutely freezing and the couple next to us had water dripping in them Spoilt a lovely meal

Food was OK but not exceptional. Steak Frites was better than the rib-eye. And cheaper. Malbec was poor. Our servers could not have tried harder.

Overall, we enjoyed Cote and would recommend it. Loved the food, our waiter was wonderful, prices very reasonable on the whole but the music was a bit like being in an 80s disco. Bit loud and not very relaxing. The waiter told us they rotate the music so we were just unlucky. I’d ditch that one though and lower the volume a bit. £4.25 for four pieces of bread and butter seemed a little steep. Apart from that, it was great.

We looked forward to the lunch as I have wonderful memories of many different meals at Salisbury Cote however I’m sorry to say that I’m no way at all was the Edinburgh Cote up to the same as Salisbury and I live in Edinburgh so not biased! It was a very cold strong windy day and the door needed a curtain to reduce the blast on diners seated nearby. The ambience was a bit drab and beige. The wine was nice. The food was ok. It not hot and my friend’s butternut squash was mainly uncooked so it was returned however tho it had grill marks the second time it was also semi uncooked so she asked for the sea as as I was having and she wasn’t charged for that however the dining experience was disjointed while we waited for second cooking then replacement main. Maybe Prix Fixe limited all! There was minimum on mains tho my starter pear and walnut salad was drowned in dressing lots of leaves a few very hardly noticeable fine pear slices. Plum Clafoutis was nice enough tho I expected baked plums as in menu whereas it was a plum sauce! Altogether not as I expected alas as I’d enthused about the SalisburyCote to my friend! Maybe it wasn’t a good day for the chef. Understandable on Monday!

The moment we walked through the doors the service could not have been any more welcoming. We were slightly late but this tension was broken with great humour. The food was outstanding and couldn't fault it but it was the service that left the greatest impression. The waiter and food came around quickly without ever feeling rushed and our waiter was attentive without ever being intrusive. Cote offered a wonderful ambience ideal for friends and family or something more intimate. Cannot recommend more highly. Well done to ALL the staff!!!!

Really nice food, came very quickly, almost too quickly so there wasn’t any gap between courses. Would have liked to spend a bit more time enjoying our bottle of wine without feeling rushed but that is only a very minor observation. Overall it was very pleasant and we would go again.

All of the service staff were lovely and attentive. We were given a free drink on arrival for my boyfriend’s dad’s birthday. The food was unbelievably amazing. 10/10 all around

The service could have been a little more efficient. The food and wine were exceptional. Beautiful. The restaurant could benefit with a redecoration, made more personal and cosy. Not enough staff to give a more personal feel. Would return but only because the food was fantastic.

Cote Brasserie is highly recommended. Central position, easily accessible, friendly helpful staff. The food is excellent, with an extensive menu and generous portions.
