We’ve heard there’s a pretty big game this Father’s Day so we’re kicking off our celebration early. Join us on either the 9th or the 16th of June and enjoy our Father’s Day à la Côte menu with a complimentary bottle of Meteor beer for Dad. Enjoy a sharing board of Sirloin steak, Confit Pork Belly and Chicken, alongside plenty of sides for £25 per person.

Join us at Côte for lunch à la française. Our weekend sharing board combines the finest cuts of meat - Sirloin Steak with peppercorn sauce, Confit Pork Belly with Calvados jus and succulent Grilled Chicken with mushroom sauce. All served with your choice of three sides. Our weekend menu can only be ordered in multiples of two.

Slow-cooked pieces of pulled FableTM mushrooms in red wine, with vegan bacon, baby onions & Chantenay carrots
Baked Camembert
Served with honey tomatoes and sourdough baguette

Food was ok nothing to get excited about along with the service, just going through the motions. Unfortunately a terrible racket coming from a table of very loud women particularly one with a very shrill voice. Not really a place to make a regular haunt or if you want to have conversation over dinner. Reasonable value for money but Wine as in many restaurants is over priced.

We have eaten at Cote many times and always had good service and found the food to be good value for money. However we were very disappointed with our meal and service on our last visit. We waited a long time for the waiter to take our drinks order, so we ordered our food at the same time. The restaurant was not busy. Our food took quite some time to arrive and I had to leave a large part of my steak as it had gristle running through it. We requested a second drink which didn’t arrive so had to request again. There didn’t appear to be enough staff on and there was not the usual customer service that we have had before. The toilet seats in the ladies were broken. One was wonky and the other had a split right through it. Overall the place is beginning to look shabby and tired.

Arrived for an early pre-event dinner and took advantage of the free glass of bubbles offer. Service throughout was outstanding. The food was very good but some portions on the small side hence the lower rating for “value”.

Disappointing. The garlic bread was awful. No garlic flavour and too much rock salt which meant that was all you could taste. The cheese soufflé starter was no better. It was presented as if it were a free standing pudding except it was lacking any supporting structure which allowed it to sag like an out of blancmange and clearly hadn’t risen. The warm tomato salad was nice, but how hard can warming a few cherry tomatoes be? The Cote de Beuf was totally underwhelming but edible as long as the advertised “deep flavour” was not your goal! I could go on but what’s the point? I shan’t be going back!!

Lovely serving staff and nice ambience. Sadly the food wasn’t up to the standard of other Cotes branches we have tried. It was a pleasant evening but disappointing.

Four of us arrived at 7:10 pm and we ordered fairly quickly. Our starters took some time to arrive, but the main course was served at 8.50pm. The restaurant was not particularly busy; we were given no explanation and only a fairly lame apology. The long wait spoiled the evening, I can’t say that the food redeemed itself either. Disappointing….

Limited menu choice. Food quality fair - salmon rather dry. Chips good! Service perfunctory. Wine choice good and reasonably priced.

Delicious food, great atmosphere. My only criticism was that the service was a bit slower than I would have expected, considering it was mid week lunchtime (particularly clearing the table after each course). However, staff were very polite and the experience was positive overall. I will definitely return.

we searched Christchurch for somewhere to eat - found Pizza Express. Warm welcome- a good table - and super service from Annab. The Pizza Giardinara was superb.
