Came for Sunday Brunch on Father's Day because it was convenient. It was busy but there were plenty of empty tables, maybe they were reserved. We had reserved a table and asked if we could sit outside but no. From the moment we sat down, we felt rushed through our meal. The mini croissants were nice but it would have been nicer if they noticed when plates were empty and refilled them, without having to ask. The service was moderately attentive but all the servers seemed rushed and overwhelmed. I never did a get a refill of coffee. The older people in our crowd thought the space was too noisy and therefore it was uncomfortable for conversation; the interior could definitely use some sound dampening. Everything came out at the same time but the food looked better than it tasted. We got the Lobster salad (nice, but not a lot of lobster), pancakes (mushy and too sweet), French toast (mushy and too sweet), Avocado toast (nothing special), and Morning Rigatoni (good, but not great). Overall, for a place that's been in business since 1945 we expected a bit more from the food, ambiance, and service. It wasn't a bad experience, it was just fine, but nothing great and we probably won't be going back. Although the burgers did look really good... maybe we'd go back once more just to try those.

A nice neighborhood goto restaurant with good food. positives: above average food. walking distance for us, friendly staff negatives: need to do the little things please that make a difference. ie. when splitting a salad, actually split it and serve it. Don't just give us an extra plate. that's tacky don't allow people to sit with their dogs outside. they are not all trained. one next to us was barking. this is a restaurant for people. it's already loud enough with the street nearby. For a more refined experience, I would recommend dinner inside the restaurant, not outside.

Have eaten there many times, was recommended by a friend who worked at the UN. The Mushroom Truffle Risotto is a solid winner. Asked for a Non Alcohol beer and they have Athletic IPA which is one of the best.
