We sampled four pinxitos. We liked them all. I especially liked the flavors of the Txangurro (stuffed Blue Crab) and Pan de Setas (smoked local mushrooms with black truffles). We will keep coming back for more mouth watering Pinxitos.

This was our second time going and both times were amazing. The wait team was knowledgeable and tentative, the food was delicious, and it was a perfect atmosphere for a date night. Love it!

One of the best dining experiences I have had in years. From the reception, to knowledgeable bartender, wait staff and manager. Excellent team and of course the menu and food. All excellent. Can’t say enough.

My table shared the ribeye, shishito peppers and potatoes. Delicious! The lemon cake and the dark chocolate sorbet were amazing, too!

I’ve had wonderful experiences at Cooks and Soldiers in the past, but last night was a disappointment. The host had us wait a few minutes because he had a “special” table in mind for us. It was the table against the wall right next to the waitstaff & bathroom entrance. I guess he meant “special” in a different kind of way. I dine out on a regular basis and their wine pours are by far the smallest of any comparable restaurant in town. In fact, I’ve never seen such a small wine pour. The Gambas Al Ajillo are one of my favorites on the menu and did not disappoint, although in the past it has come with four toast points or two large toast points, but last night there were only two very small toast points. So if you want to enjoy the broth/sauce you have no choice but to order a side of the bread at nine dollars. The Patatas Bravas were very good as well as the scallops, but the bluefin tuna appetizer was swimming in an unappetizing bright orange red sort of Jell-O-ish sauce and was so fishy tasting neither of us could get past the first bite. In all fairness,I’ve always loved Cooks and Soldiers in the past, but last night was just not a good experience. I will be back but not for quite some time.
