Great food, ambience and paired wine selection in a relaxed environment. The Chef’s Table experience with Emma was really enjoyable as she explained the idea behind each menu course. The service throughout from Melanie was also on point and we enjoyed the relaxed vibe as the team prepared and served the food. Recommended.

Well, was looking forward to some fine dining. Wasn't to be. The lamb chop was over cooked and fatty, mostly comprised of bone. The oysters were good though. Porkchop was mostly fat and fairly inedible. Scallop was small and only one. Fish (My daughters halibut was so small we wouldnt take a bite to try because it would have been gone) Over all uninspired. Took a long time to get wine with the meal as the waitress was pretty much non existent , we had to ask a mgr walking by who was very attentive.

This is far one of the best restaurants I have ever been too even in London… The food exceptionally wonderful. Our Spanish waiter Carlos was fantastic he know everything about the wine list to the food. The whole restaurant as a whole was decored beautifully. I was just a wonder night out and amazing all rounder. Me and my part will 100% return when coming back to Edinburgh Thank you ❤️

Beautiful cozy atmosphere, with delicious menu. The freshly-carved Iberian ham and the Scottish roast were fantastic, and the service was friendly and welcoming. Our family had a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!

Friday night when we visited but there was no atmosphere in the restaurant. Food was very rich but not terribly filling. Waiters were very nice and helpful. Found it much too expensive and pretentious compared to some of the other restaurants in Edinburgh.

Stunning place ! First time at Commons Club Bar and Restaurant and it will not be our last. Drinks first in the bar, great service from the bar team, welcoming and fantastic ambiance. Then in the restaurant for an evening meal, good choice on the menu and we choose well. The food was superb, ingredients fresh and tasty, the class of food was another level and all fairly priced for the product you got. Lovely place and we would highly recommend for anyone visiting Edinburgh looking for something a little bit special and a memorable visit.

Very friendly service and professionally skilled experts providing it. We had such a lovely evening and the dinner was superb. Best restaurant to go for here. We have been here last year for the first time and travelled this year extra again to come and dine here, it is worth the trip and will be a great memory for us. If our schedule and our budget will allow us to come back for a third time, we will do it for sure.

Terrible service- we sat there for 45min waiting for bread for our table. Drinks were pricy and mainly you’re just ordering juice because there was no alcohol in it for $18

It was a bit soporific and the mackerel and artichoke starters were underwhelming. The beef however was superb. The comte tart was disappointing. The deserts were very good. The bar was great.

It’s difficult to review fairly. The food was amazing the service was amazing but the venue was dead bit of a shame really. We always go to the shame restaurant for our anniversary but decided to change to Commons club and again the food was amazing but there was absolutely no ambience at all. We will come back but I think with friends or family.

The maitre d was most most unwelcoming which is not a good start. However the lovely Spanish waiter made up for the disappointment. The place however was soulless. The food was lovely. As far as an overall experience goes, The Witchery was far better.

this was a great restaurant. We have eaten many establishments over the world in the last 50 years. This has to rank in the top five. The Dayboat catch was monkfish plus salmon in a Noori Roll. It was exquisite. The lobster Thermidor is also a winner. Service was, very good. Overall, I would love to eat here again.

So original and healthy. The chefs make their magic and you will sit there and be amazed. The portion sizes were perfect as well and the presentation was astounding.
