The food at Common was good. The salmon was flavourful and done properly. The chicken was also flavourful and well spiced. Good textured and not over-fried. The short rib itself was excellent, but I was less impressed with the accompanying sides. The creamed collar greens were strange and the fried cornbread was too heavy...but the short rib was excellent. The Board was a nice way to start. A really good winelist and Sean, the sommelier, was very helpful and informative. Our server was excellent.

More options needed. I would have loved eggs benny, but not crab cake style. A waffle maybe. The chicken was good on the chicken biscuit, but biscuit was not great. Too hard. A side if something would have been nice. I left not satisfied. Need to eat again. Service was great.

What a gem! Cannot recommend this restaurant more highly. Having lived in culinary capitals of the US- this is at the top. One of the best meals we have experienced. The mixologist, Wade makes incredible drinks. Brian- our server paired our entres with brilliance. Sean - the sommelier- made his way over and also said he would help us with wine selections. We had oysters, tuna tartar, lamb shank, fried chicken, NY strip, and the short rib. All were top notch. Finished with a lovely birthday dessert of hazelnut mouse cake. Outstanding experience!! And a Wine Spectator award for 2 years and running. *****

All the dishes we ordered were great. The new chef from Chicago came to the table to discuss the new dishes we ordered. Lovely meal. I do think the mocktails need improvement. We are planning to eat there again!!!!
