Common Ground is a neighborhood restaurant and bar situated between the historic Sylvan Park and the rapidly growing Nations. The menu features approachable yet elevated cuisine, accompanied by a world-class cocktail program. Reservations and walk-ins both welcomed for dinner, lunch, and brunch.

The space offers a hip-casual atmosphere designed with a modern-simplistic feel. Chef Eric Babula, formerly of Chicago-based 8 Hospitality, leads the culinary team. The beverage program consists of Wes Taylor, formerly of The Patterson House and M Street Entertainment; and Matt Ramos, a certified sommelier recently at Tony Mantuano's Yolan and Kayne Prime Steakhouse.

Had the best experience at Common Ground. Great drinks. Great food. Great service. Wes and Mila treated us extra special for our first time there. Will definitely be back!!

The host was very nice and sat us immediately. Our waitress was lovely. our drinks were fantastic. The appetizers were ok, the salad was the best part of our meal. The shrimp were dry and tough. I ordered the fish special and when it came out there was an odd smell - a sour smell to the dish. I took one small bite and knew something was off. My husband also took a bite and stated that the fish was bad. the waitress came over and the host took the fish to the back. They offered me something else off the menu. I was charged full price for my new meal. I do not think we will be back.

Very nice and clean. Amazing happy hour! The Irish coffee was phenomenal! The food was great and came out in a timely manner. Overall it was an amazing date night spot and will go back again.

Really wonderful small spot is an absolute hidden gem! We met the owner the night we dined and couldn't have been more pleased with his local influence. Hand crafted drinks and an on-point small menu were all prepared and served beautifully. This place is not to be missed or over looked.

We really enjoyed our meal. Went with a girlfriend before a play. Our server was very attentive. The noise level was a little loud for us, but the other patrons didn’t seem to mind. Let me say, we are boomers and the crowd was somewhat younger.

I went for a Sunday brunch and it was not too busy at all! The service was great and responsive. And the food was really good! The fingerling potatoes were AMAZING!

Really enjoyed Common Ground for lunch. I ordered the Shrimp Tacos. They were delicious!! Hope to order them again. Service was great!!

The food and drink were very good. I LOVED that there were Zero Proof beverages available on the menu and they were DELICIOUS. Tasted like a craft cocktail, without the hangover. I had the smashburger and fingerling potatoes. They were very good. We also got the focaccia app and oh my goodness that bread and the spreads that came with it were heavenly. Service was on point and loved the cozy neighborhood restaurant vibe. Would highly recommend.

Food, beverage and service was great. The only negative is cleanliness, specifically the bathroom. It did not appear it had been cleaned in a few days.

This was our second time and we’re very glad we came back. We visited a few months back and it was OK. This time all the food was outstanding. The room is a bit loud which is why I didn’t give it 5 stars, but nevertheless recommend. The appetizer portions are generous. Don’t skip the shrimp.

Met Memphis friends for brunch on Sunday, and everyone seemed to enjoy their meal and experience. Some interesting food options for brunch (Carrot Cake French Toast = carrot cake, but good - and serving was more than I could eat). They were out of several bread options, but likely due to snow disruption of supply chain. It was a bit loud, but moderate compared to most restaurants these days. We will go back.

Service was a little slow, but our server seemed pretty busy and apologized for the delays. The food was fantastic, we had brunch and between the multiple dishes the party had we all enjoyed them. We had the burger, breakfast sandwich, and frittata. As well as the croissant plate as an appetizer. Highly recommend checking out this place for brunch!

Service was slow even though the restaurant wasn’t super busy. The host and server were nice but slow to take orders and bring out food. The “steak” in the “steak” and eggs for brunch was overcooked and dry and the potatoes were hard. My eggs were cooked to perfection though. Overall, just an ok experience but I’m not in a rush to go back.
