Nested in Uphams Corner, Dorchester, we are a cozy cafe by day offering casual counter service transforming into an intimate and lively 30-seat restaurant by night with a full bar. Our food is a celebration of the ingredients and flavors of the African diaspora — global comfort food — connected from Asia to the Americas. We are a Black-owned, immigrant-owned, and woman-owned business. We believe that food is a vital aspect of community building and we envision a place that is actively engaged in highlighting the culture, art, and history of our community.

    The minute you enter this restaurant the smells hit you. The food and cocktails are delicious. It’s small but flavorful selections are date night worthy. If you’re looking for something different, definitely give this place a try. We will surely be back.

    Delicious meal with delightful, unusual surprises in the flavors of every dish. Impeccable service. This staff takes a jumbo jet’s worth of pride in their craft and you’ll see every ounce of that through every minute of your experience here. Pure culinary genius.

    The kafta app was so so. The jerk duck was very tasty as was the chicken. $17 for a mediocre measured glass of wine is over the top. With tip we spent over $100 for one app, 2 entrees and one glass of wine. Too rich for my blood!

    We celebrated an anniversary dinner here, and all of the food and drinks we ordered were excellent. Can't wait to go back!

    The atmosphere and food were fantastic. The service seemed overwhelmed. Courteous and attentive but took a long time to get things to us. We will go back and loved it. Highly recommend

    One of the best meals I've had in Boston for a long time. Incredible flavors (sliders, trout, and duck in particular), great service, chill vibe and lovely patio (where I hope we'll snag a seat next time). Cocktails also spot on. Excited to turn this into a go-to spot for date night.
