It was another wonderful experience at Colette, currently my favorite Cincinnati restaurant. So many wonderful things about the experience. The wait staff was personable and attentive. The ambience was adorable. The food was amazing as usual. The puff pastry couldn’t be better. For the first time I had the steak, and the steak was divine.

Food was very good. We were seated next to the kitchen and it was extremely loud. I highly recommend asking to sit in one of the back rooms. Server lacked enthusiasm and spoke very fast. We were constantly asking her to speak louder.

Likely one of my new favorite restaurants in Cincinnati. The only part of the reservation I didn’t like was sitting in the room in very back- it was very dark and was sad to miss the beautiful sunlight on an early sunny evening (also couldn’t get any good pictures for our occasion). The food was phenomenal! Beyond words for the qualify and attention to the flavors and details of each dish. Will be back asap!

Really enjoyed Colette. Many different flavor profiles and with an excellent execution of each dish. We started out with the brioche and salted cod as starters. The brioche was beautiful with perfect amount of salt and pepper. The salted cod was very different, creamy and delicious. For the salad course we actually did the mushroom entree which was simply amazing and the best bite of the night. The combination of sauces and perfect char on the mushrooms truly were outstanding. From there my wife and I shared two entrees the steak frites and the duck confit. The duck was perfectly cooked, with an amazing skin however the pairing with whole beans and a buried lack luster sauce left the dish lacking. It really could be so much more with that well executed duck, but it just wasn’t there. Any other sauce pairing or more finely cooked grain accompaniment would make this so much better. The steak frites were good. The sauce here was well prepared and the frites excellent. The steak was very tender and well cooked but a little cool. The steak could have used a bit more char and heat. We finished with the mousse which was a nice finish. The meal started out really strong, but peaked at the mushrooms. Wish the entrees could have been a bit better. Gabby was our server and provided excellent navigation of the menu and was quite excellent.

My boyfriend and I shared the steak frites, ravioli, and the brioche service! We loved the savory brioche, happy we each got 1 and the ravioli as our stand outs. The frites were crunchy and thin, perfect paring with the tender steak.

Bryan our server was the best we’ve had in awhile! Our food was delicious. We had the pate first then the carrot salad then the mushroom entrée and the cod. We enjoyed everything about it. Had a wonderful wine list, we will definitely be back.

Our server Lucas was wonderful. He was new yet have great descriptions of everything and was very attentive. Food was excellent especially the pastas. And the lacquered brioche was our dessert! Was a little too noisy though

Just as amazing as the first time. Both times we had our server, Rachel first time, Brian and Irena 2nd time, order for our table of 4. It was wonderful!!!! Even with some dietary restrictions. We can't wait to come back. Thank you!!!

Collette is absolutely wonderful. The food was amazing and their staff was delightful. It was a perfect date night for my partner and me. Kelli is a very talented bartender, and our server Emily was so hospitable and had great knowledge about the menu. The kitchen staff have clearly put so much time and effort into perfecting their dishes. It's the perfect date night place in OTR.

The food and the service was amazing. Our server gave great advice and helped pace all of our food. The Brioche is so good that id eat it every day if I could. I didn’t think I liked duck (from a previous experience), but after trying a bite of my husbands Duck Confit, I was jealous of his meal…it was so good. The beet salad and whipped cod was also delicious. We can’t wait to go back and bring friends.

Our food was very good but the menu is a little heavy and there weren’t a ton of menu items that interested us, so not a lot of reasons to repeat. We would come back but probably in the winter. Parking is abysmal and would make us have second thoughts about returning. If the garage is full, street parking is nonexistent.

Our second time dining at Colette. Excellent and better than remembered. The seasonal specials were amazing and such a fun addition. Hats off to Danny & staff! Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Had the laminated brioche and vol au vent to start. Both were fantastic, the brioche has 500 layers! vol au vent was delicious salad course was good raviole dauphine was incredible sole meunière and pomme pureé blew my mind. Everything was absolutely phenomenal and I can’t wait to go back!

We really enjoyed this restaurant, from the cocktail drinks to the desserts. Definitely try the Laminated Brioche with black pepper sea salt butter. The 3 of us shared the Toasted Beets and Parisian Carrots as our starters. We then shared the Toasted Mushrooms, Raviole du Dauphine, and Herbed Camarillo, all 3 dishes were outstanding in taste:. For dessert we shared the Choux at Craquelin and Mousse Au Chocolate. The staff were super friendly and service was exceptional. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant the next time we are in Cincinnati.

All around wonderful experience dining at Colette on Friday evening. The service, food and drinks were all great. I enjoyed the delicious duck and my husband had fish. There wasn’t a bite left on his plate, which is quite unusual. The desserts were also on point. I’m looking forward to coming back.

Such a great experience! Our server Cami was fantastic! She made all the best recommendations on food and we loved everything that we ate. It was a great celebration experience. We sat up at a high top bar and at first I thought that would be problematic, however, it was still quiet enough that we had a romantic date to celebrate my husband’s birthday.

We visited Colette last night after a concert at Music Hall. The location and space (formerly occupied by Zule) is inviting and familiar. First of all, our experience was great. The service was attentive and friendly and the food was excellent. We tried the laminated brioche and a couple of salads, including the beet salad. The 3 of us shared the cote de boeuf (36oz ribeye) with the pomme purée (mashed potatos). The ribeye was cooked more slowly and was served slices with a red wine reduction. It was absolutely fantastic and plenty for 3 hungry diners to share. We shared a mille feuille pastry with tasty cappuccinos for dessert. We would have preferred less finishing salt on the steak and a few more layers of pastry with less cream filling, but no real complaints regarding our choices. The principal complaint relates to the menu, which is sparse, even for a bistro. There were only 3 appetizers - sweetbreads, salted cod, and pate. It would be great to have some lighter or vegetarian starters. The laminated brioche was interesting to try, but it’s mostly butter and really too heavy to be the only bread offering. At $5 per roll it’s also a bit cheeky. Finally, the shareable plates - sole and steak options - were highlights of the menu, but the restaurant should offer one of two sides to complement the main dish. Perhaps haricot vert or something similar. For an otherwise polished experience 5 months after opening the menu u still felt like a work in progress. Looking forward to returning to Colette in a bit.

Second visit to Colette. They do an outstanding job!! Well trained, professional, yet casual & friendly staff- perfect balance! The food! Every bite! Highly recommend the Sole Meunière that comes with Pomme Purée! Worth both the wait and price!

The food and service were outstanding. Luke was our server and he was on point. Collette does everything right from the food to service. We ordered the Laminated Brioche, Beet Salad, Roasted Mushrooms, Icelandic Cod, Duck Confit, and Rice Pudding. Everything was excellent. The cocktails were outstanding and they have a great variety of wines as well. It is a must try and we will be back!
