Front and back garden patio available on a first come first serve basis, we will do our best to accommodate requests but we cannot guaratee front or back patio seating.

Colette blends the best of French culture to bring a dynamic dining experience to Porter Square. We strive to leave a lasting impression with our dramatic surroundings, smart wine list, warm and hospitable service, hand-crafted cocktails, and of course, a French inspired menu. Brunch, dinner, or cocktails - welcome to your new home!

We offer a range of small plates, hot and cold, which remix French classics - Mussels, Steak Frites, Salads, along with Cheese and Charcuterie boards and French desserts: Mousse au Chocolat, Crème Brûlée... Everything is made in house with love, we start from scratch everyday.

The star of our drink menu is definitely the wine, But we also serve beers, ciders and cocktails crafted by our mixologists.

We are located in the Porter Square Hotel in Cambridge.

Had a very nice meal for a large group. It was a little loud but we all enjoyed our cocktails and food. Only complaint is that the menu prices were not accurate and some of us didn’t get complete menus, which is inexcusably sloppy.

Probably the worst all around meal we have had in our 40+ years of dining out in the Boston area. For starters, even though we made a reservation well in advance the staff tried to seat us in the bar. When we objected they seated us next to the bar in a highly trafficked area. When my Steak Frites arrived, it was medium rare instead of medium well as ordered. By the time it returned my wife had almost finished her dinner and my potatoes were cold. When we complained about a 3% kitchen surcharge on the bill, our waiter gave a poor response. So, needless to say we will never return. If you are looking for a good meal in a nearby hotel restaurant, I suggest Henriettas Table at the Charles Hotel in Harvard Sq. A much better dining experience all around. And less expensive.

We had a lovely birthday dinner yesterday. The staff were welcoming and professional and the food was delicious. Fresh bread and butter accompanied the meal and we began we the cheese and charcuterie board and fried Brussel sprouts. Yum! All the mains were delicious with good sizes portions - not too big nor small. We topped off the meal with freshly brewed coffee and dessert. We will be back!

Our server, Owen, was so lovely! They were kind, informative, and attentive. Gave us suggestions for mocktails and they were delicious!

Spectacular Evening! - enjoying a Tuesday evening Wine Series event! Theme this particular evening: California Wines compared to French/European. Excellent, interesting, knowledgeable, fun presentation and lots of wonderful wines to taste and compare. Paired dishes were delicious, and presented well w/each of the wines. Salad Cesar, Escargots, Duck Confit & Mushroom Vol au Vent Steak Frites and a sweet dessert! Lovely set up for the Wine Session - outdoor patio area as well as inside decor, have great ambiance! A visit to Colette, all around highly recommend! Place is a Delight!

We came for Mother’s Day and there must have been some abnormal issue going on. Everyone had reservations and was sat about 30 minutes late. We were not updated on the situation and basically just waited in line with no communication.

2nd time visit. 1st was great. 2nd not so. very busy. ok service from over scheduled waiter. from brussels sprouts, to onion soup, to chicken, all were good, not great. just good/ok.

Adorable French bistro- one of my favorite ambiances around. Food is pretty good, not high-end, but also quite yummy bistro fare on the whole. Sadly, the service has gone down-hill since it opened. Shouldn’t wait 15 minutes for waiter to come by for the first time to see if you want something to drink. Waitstaff need more customer service training. But, I still go for the cool vibe and homey French food!

I've eaten at Colette before, though not in a couple of years, and liked it. But last night was not good. The food was nothing like as good as I remember it as being. There was no beef bourguignon, which was what I wanted, so I ate the chicken and it was fatty and over-salted and just not good. No one else much liked their dishes either. The place was almost empty but nevertheless the dessert was so slow to arrive that I actually went and found our server and told her just to bring the check---and then of course dessert did arrive. I was the one who had recommended Colette to our party and I was embarrassed.
