Took them an hour to seat us literally. Swear to god there was only 4 other people in that restaurant. My lady thought that they were rude to her. I don’t really care to bash a place but I wouldn’t recommend goin here. It’s up to u though. Food was mid.

I honestly was going to avoid writing a review just out of the kindness of my heart, but I doubt I'll ever go back or recommend this place to anyone in the future. I could give you a rundown from the time we walked in (visited on Valentine's Day at 10pm) until the time we left of how perturbed we were. The service was by far the worst I've ever received. The host was so bad when walking us upstairs that we almost left before we were even seated. HORRIBLE. Our bill came up to $250, we tipped $50 to be nice, and our server came back to ask us if we even paid 😔.

Overall had a frustrating experience. The place appeared to be understaffed, so I felt forget after I sat at my table. The food was good and you could tell that they use quality ingredients. However, due to lack of servers, it took too long to receive our order. In fact, it took over 30 minutes to receive water after I sat my table.

I spent weeks planning a very special Valentines for my girlfriend. I scoured OpenTable for a great but affordable sushi restaurant. The photos on their Instagram and website do not represent the reality of the experience at the restaurant. The tables were dirty, the music was loud and did not fit the vibe, our server was not attentive, we had to try to grab her attention anytime we needed something. We ordered two different drinks which tasted very similar except for the addition of pineapple juice in mine. Although everything was very delicious, I would’ve saved time and just ordered on Postmates . We felt very overdressed, because of the occasion and we expected somewhat of a fine dining experience based on how the restaurant is represented on their Instagram. I also definitely did not need to make a reservation as it was empty. I even made the effort to call to say we would be late. It was very disappointing to show up and see that it was far from the experience we had expected. False advertising.

Looking for an unassuming place, try C.O.D. ("Catch of the Day"). We thought it was just another Chinese/ Shushi restaurant. But its actually Asian Fusion. Not a lot of tables but the food-- "WOW!!! We split the Orange Chicken and the Chicken & Shrimp Fried Rice. The rice was so flavorful and lightly fried. More like lightly stirred vs. fried. The Chicken and Shrimp were the masterpiece. Both were perfectly cooked but the sauce, which was a little hot (just right) was to die for. I wanted to lick the bowl but my wife said "no." Then admitted she wanted to as well. And I'm saving the best part of the experience for last. Their dessert menu is good but i just wanted vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. Our server, Melanie (from Australia with LOADS OF PERSONALITY) said they certainly had the ice cream but had to check on the chocolate sauce. Next thing we knew, she literally ran out the front door, came back about 2 minutes later, headed to the kitchen and brought me my dessert--- with Hershey's Chocolate-- my favorite. She was attentive throughout the meal and obviously handled the dessert above and beyond expectations. I can't say too much about COD other than you have to try it. The flavors are deep and excellent. The service is way above expectations.

Went for my wife’s birthday and the food was very good tried the uni pasta and the mixed seafood Thai plate. I would go back just for the pasta alone. Service was good too.

The service is horrible. The waitress is friendly but forgets the order and dissappears until you actually get up to hunt her down. Mind you, there were only 2 tables in the restaurant. It was not busy at all. Food quality seems to have lowered as well. Will not be returning.

We came for my son’s birthday. We always enjoy the food but this time they missed the marked 2 of the dishes my son ordered were wrong, it wasn’t what he ordered so I was disappointed. They took too long to fix it. So service was great. But we still love the food.

This is one of my favorite places. We mostly celebrate our bdays here. We were seated upstairs in the private area. Our server Dylan was amazing. They have the best truffle uni pasta!!!

The waiter was amazing the food was not good at all. The dumplings was the best thing. The sushi wasn’t fresh and the beef in the black bean sauce was heavily seasoned and so was the halibut on spinach. It’s good to try new places but wouldn’t go back. Not for our palette. Even the steam rice just didn’t taste fresh.

We were greeted immediately upon entering but waited sometime before someone came to take our drink order. When I asked about a particular menu item, the server was very rude. The drinks and food were pretty good and will probably be the reason we will give this place another try.

The details of this restaurant on OpenTable state, “we validate parking”, so I parked in the adjacent parking structure. Upon leaving, I asked the server to validate my parking which prompted her to respond that C.O.D. has never validated parking. My parking ticket cost me $26.50. It was even cheaper to valet which was still at a high price of $16.00. Very upsetting. The chocolate lava cake was overcooked so there was no “lava”, it was more like a souffle/soggy flourless chocolate cake.

Tried this restaurant for DineLA 2023 on a Monday night. Restaurant was pretty empty. It was surprising because the food was amazing. I had the Uni pasta and it was rich and the pasta was perfectly cooked. Also included was 4 pieces of nigiri sushi--tuna, salmon, scallop & I think hamachi. I was not expecting it to be as good as it was since this was not a sushi restaurant. It was a pleasant surprise when I found the sushi was better than good. Fresh and the rice was great.

We were very disappointed with the quality of the food we received. We ordered from the DineLA menu. Service was on the slow side. Irr tree was our first time dining at C.O.D and unfortunately we will not be returning. $200 (including tip) was wasted.

The person answering the phone is rude when I called to confirm my appointment since Open Table was down. Food was average and not worth the price. Seabass was overcooked and rubbery. Lava cake was overcooked too and there was no lava. Will not comeback

Food was absolutely amazing and the oysters were out of the world fresh and good!!! My server on the other hand was ok…I’m the beginning she was great, offering suggestions but as our food came out she seemed to be preoccupied with other things. Overall experience was great…would absolutely recommend you check this place out for ANY occasion!

I’ve lived next to this place for along time but never tried it , my first time going ,the food was insanely good , 5 Stars ! And the vibe is really nice & the food is not overly expensive, a regular date night for 2 will cost you about 80-100$ with drinks included

Love the food. Scallops were nicely cook. Soft, juicy and nicely seasoned. The sautéed asparagus was a surprise as it did have the authentic Asian stir fry favor. My friend’s salmon was cooked as asked (medium with crispy fish skin), yummy as well. Spicky chicken wings were a bit dry, but overall we loved the food there. Servers were friendly with smiles. Happy experience I would say

I looovvveee this restaurant. You can go here weekly easily and find something new to eat.
