Located in a former auto shop in the vibrant Montrose neighborhood near The Menil Collection and Museum District, Clark’s Houston is the third and largest location of our popular neighborhood oyster bar and seafood restaurant. Opened in Fall 2023, Clark’s features freshly shucked oysters, crudo, lobster roll, daily fish specials, caviar and blini, bowls of chowder and cioppino as well as a much-loved burger and shoestring fries.

The restaurant specializes in martinis and signature cocktails as well as an extensive Champagne and wine list. The design is light, bright, and airy with nautically-themed touches including a centerpiece fish tank, teak wood furniture, bright white walls, and blue and turquoise tones.

In addition to a marble-topped oyster bar and dining room, there’s a large, covered patio for prime people watching and oyster slurping. Clark’s Houston also offers a semi-private dining room for special occasions and events.

Bright and energetic setting even at lunchtime.The service was attentive and well versed..The selection of raw oysters was remarkable.The shoe string potatoes were a treat, well spiced and crisp.Moreover the bib salad was well dressed .My only concern was they needed a greater selection for their sparkling wines by the glass

The menu is awesome. The cioppino the lobster roll, The wedge salad, all the food is excellent. Brian the waiter is awesome. We love the place.

The food was fine, but I expected better for the price. We were rushed through our dinner, three separate courses arrived in 30 min. We ate inside and had to shout to hear each other.

I ordered the crab cake with frisee salad and a side of marbled potatoes. The food was very good although my crab cake could have been hotter. It was warm. My ordered a side of kale which was delicious. Love the ambiance of this place and the outdoor patio is truly amazing. It was a bit humid so we ate indoors. Joshua was our server and he was great. Will definitely go back again and order something different next time.

My husband and I had a reservation for 3pm. We showed up a few minutes early and were seated quickly by the friendly hostess up front. We were served bread and water a few minutes after we were seated however after 15 minutes had passed and we were not greeted by a server or asked if we would like to put in appetizers or a drink order. I went back up to the front to ask when a server would be coming to our table to take our order. About 5 minutes later a waitress came and took our order, and two minutes after that another person came and tried to take our order. Not sure if there was a miscommunication or if no one was assigned to us. Our waitress was very nice and friendly. Food was great as usual.

I rarely comment because I only dine in places where I feel respected and valued as a frequent dinner. Today my opinion of Clark’s changed. I was rushed and disrespected as the manager stood by and said nothing. Oh well!

The food is amazing but the service is atrocious. Go and enjoy but just know the service will be rude.

Oysters were fantastic. Bar service beyond slow . May have been the worst lobster roll I have ever eaten.

We had a great dinner again at Clark’s. Started with the fresh raw oysters. So good we ordered another dozen. All entrees were very good as well.
