The restaurant is a bit tight inside which lead us to understand why a reservation was hard to come by. There is just one row of tables facing the street and a wall. The noise was such that we had trouble hearing each other across the rather wide table, and with a loud neighbor. The food however was excellent so we focussed on eating. The white wine, a bottle of Muscadet, arrived not cold enough so we asked for an ice bucket which took care of that problem after a bit. There are tables outside as well but the location directly on 6th Street makes for noise of cars streaming by. This is a typical American problem.

The food and service were amazing! I have been to the Houston location many times and as a first time at the Austin location, I was not disappointed. The food and quality are consistently delicious and fresh. I ordered the Guld Redfish on the Half Shell with the Garlic Butter, and it was the perfect amount of fish while still feeling like a healthy, light dish. The ceviche is also a must.

Excellent food and service all the time. Our server Daisy was attentive and awesome. The food was wonderful. Can’t wait to go back.

Has been our Austin favorite for years and once again last night did not disappoint. Incredible food, wonderful service, AMAZING bread. Pricey yes. Worth it? 1,000 times over.

As usual, Clark’s never disappoints! Stand out menu items were the oysters and the grilled razor clams special, outstanding. Ceviche was very good however the bluefin tuna carpaccio had too much garnish (sauces, olives, scallions) where the great tuna could have been a star on its own and was muted by the accompaniments. Dessert rounded out a celebratory meal. Special mention for Kyle who steered us to the best choice of Oysters and was attentive and friendly. Thank you!

Have to say we were quite surprised today to be by asked 1 hr 15 min after our arrival tonight pay up and leave because “there was a reservation for our table” waiting”. Really?? We have been here numerous times and never encountered this. Incidentally there were two tables right near us where the customers were there before us! Suggestion: if you are really allowing only 1 hour have a meal and drinks- it would be better to say that at the time of the reservation Bad form, Clark’s!
