At City House in Nashville, TN, James Beard Award winning Chef Tandy Wilson makes an amazing array of dishes to pair up with the enormous array of artisan cocktails, wine and bourbon or whiskey choices available. A popular Sunday Supper gives a unique dining experience, but many come for the regular dinner menu.

The dinner choices at City House include starters like frico, sock sausage, and olives. There are handmade pizzas with traditional toppings and more Southern inspired choices like belly ham or kale. The entrees are just as creative and include everything from the fennel sausage to the clams, catfish, and garlic chili broth, to bread gnocchi. A visit to City House allows you to enjoy a wonderful experience in a historic setting.

    We have been to City House twice now for Sunday Supper and both times it was clear why it came so highly recommended. On Sundays an ever changing menu is served and it truly seems like the chef is showcasing his talent for flavor, tradition, taste, and having fun with it. Standouts this time were the biscuit (outstanding), the pizza (wood fired), and the Sunday dessert cake which was strawberry meringue. If you can hit it when they have the waltz cake, DO IT.

    Love City House! I just wish they had better acoustics in the large dining room. The room gets really loud; so much so that it makes table conversations very difficult. Desserts: ALWAYS incredible!!

    The hostess was very accommodating and kind, helping us find a space not overloud. Pizza was delicious; salads were very good. I'm not accustomed to having everything I order delivered by someone else; it felt less personal than I prefer. I hear that City House is reliably good: with such a short menu, that's a good thing. Wood-fired pizza: that really deserves a WOW!

    Had an absolutely lovely time, food and cockails were incredible and the manager Sal is a gem of a person

    The restaurant is very expensive from drinks to our meal. Our entire meal was very very salty. We ordered two servings of the octopus and both came in one dish and the amount of sauce and chickpeas overwhelmed the dish. For $25+, the chopped steak should come with a side. Just not too impressed for what we paid.
