All the food and drinks were delicious. We had guac, corn ribs, and tacos, all great especially for the happy hour prices. There was live salsa and our server was very attentive and freindly. Ambiance is great too. This is one of my fav n ew spots :)

Space is too small for the number of tables they have. Too crowded and very slow and poor service. Waitress was ignoring our table and was rude. We left mid diner because of that and got our food to go. The tacos and drinks are great. They need to hire more welcoming staff and not overcrowd the place. I went before during the day and it was a much more pleasant experience with very nice staff.

citrico cafe was for sure a vibe! however, the service was subpar. had an 8pm reservation - arrived and hostess told us we had a table and then management came over and said that table was for someone else. we decided to sit at the bar thinking service would be good but i waited 15minutes for my drink while my bartender focused on the drinks coming through from the service bar. food was great, vibe and atmosphere were a 10 - it just stinks that service was poor.

Overall love the place , a bit strange tacos has cheese ? Definitely not as authentic as i imagine it to be . No Gluten Free options for my friend , very limited menu. Great service , ambiance but if you looking for authentic sadly this not it .

Laudia was fantastic and the food was delicious. They have a DJ on Saturday night. Celebrated my birthday there, it was nice. The hostess was nice and accommodating as well as my party arrived!

It was wonderful but when we booked it said it was salsa night and drink specials. When we got there they said they stopped the drink specials weeks ago.

The service was wonderful. Everyone was attentive and generous with their time. The food was tasty - the kale salad was delicious. My only pet peeve; my early reservation created many empty tables, therefore I could not understand when customers were sat next to our table when there were so many empty tables still available. Keep in mind the tables are relatively small and close to each other.

Citrico Cafe is fine. It’s not great. It’s not terrible. It’s fine. It’s a Mexican restaurant with the most bland rice and beans I’ve ever had. The restaurant was so cold last night. Our server was terrific. The hostess was also very nice and accommodated a table switch. The indoor layout is confusing. Why so many seats so close to each other? Strangers don’t want to be that near to other people. It’s just odd. The restaurant is LOUD. Why is there a dinnertime DJ playing music at an overwhelming volume? For real, GET RID OF THE TERRIBLE DJ. It’s not a club. It’s a restaurant. Maybe after 10pm? There were families in there who were distraught over the loud music. It was abysmal. I cannot imagine ever returning to Citrico Cafe. 2 out of 5 stars. Terrible experience. Poor value. Loud noise. Inconsistent food.

Always a great time here staff is unbelievably friendly and this is my favorite restaurant in all of Astoria. I recommend it to anyone who’s coming into town, the food is great. Ambience is amazing and prices can’t be beat.

I spent my birthday here with Citrico and I absolutely loved it. My family was a hot mess yet our waitress Camilia was so patient and kind. The food was delicious and the drinks were tasty as well. It was salsa night so the music was loud but I am assuming it is not that loud on regular nights. It was so beautiful there as well, dim lighting but not too much which allowed for you to still see your food. I love it here !

We wanted to love this place. The ONLY thing positive was the waitress was really sweet. First all of your food will come out at diff times “because their kitchen is small” According to the workers…. Then the worst part… toward the end of the dinner the manager or whoever he was came over abruptly and LITERALLY BOOTED US FROM THE TABLE . He said he has another table coming and we need to move….. we had not even had dessert yet!! He asked if we were told at the beginning by the hostess that they’d need the table at 10pm - i said absolutely not because I wouldn’t have sat down at that table & he called the hostess over & she lied kept insisting that she told me…. They offered for us to have dessert at the bar or buy us a drink to stand at the bar that was overly crowded with no available seats …. No thank you!!! Again, while our waitress was really nice & attentive - the rest of the experience - TERRIBLE .

When you make a reservation for standard seating, that’s what you expect. It doesn’t matter what date or time you make the reservation. If it’s showing as standard seating. You expect to receive standard seating, not outdoor. Food is acceptable. Service is good but customer service and management need to do better on making their customers happy. There was no reason to clear out the main dining room at 6 PM to allow for the nightclub vibe. I can understand 9 or 10 PM, but not at 6 PM. I could have spent my Saturday evening relaxing at another restaurant elsewhere, but chose this location because I thought I would be getting an experience and not sitting outside, freezing with my food going cold. Do not come here unless you want to be treated like a subpar guest who if don’t know someone will be seated outside in the freezing cold. They are too focused on being a nightclub than a fine dining establishment.

Went for a birthday brunch. The food was great: affordable, flavorful, and filling. You get more than what you pay for. Ordered the fish tacos (ask for hot sauce & limes), maduros, a burrito, and flautas de pollo. Our server was so sweet. She was friendly, funny, and surprised us with sparklers in our dessert! It was a slow Sunday but the music was still lively. I can see this being a regular spot to unwind with friends.

While the staff was quite overwhelmed with the number of customers all entering at about the same time. The food was great and the restaurant was comfortable. The staff were friendly and polite, and apologized for the service delays. At one point there was only one person handling all the tables and the bar.

Food and decor were great. Will definitely come back. Only negative- live music dominates the space and makes conversation challenging. Would avoid live music nights depending on the type of dinner.

We loved everything about this place. Our filet mignon tacos were delicious as were our nachos. The passion fruit margarita - perfect! Loved the vibe and Enrique, our waitor, was super friendly and attentive!
