Cinque Terre WEST Osteria is a warm family-run Italian restaurant reminiscent of the small Mediterranean coastal villages of the Cinque Terre region. We serve authentic regional Ligurian dishes, using locally sourced food, specializing in fresh seafood, daily house-made pastas, fatto a mano (made-by-hand) pizza dough and delizioso cornetti (Italian croissants).

Chef Gianbattista "Gianba" Vinzoni discovered his love of cooking as a child while spending time in the kitchen with his Grandmother. Thanks to the patience and guidance of the many Chefs he worked with, was able to become the Chef of many great restaurants like Soho House, Cecconi’s, Fig and Olive.

He has lived in the Pacific Palisades since 2004 with his wife Marlo and two children and loves it just as much as he loves his childhood home back in Italy. At Cinque Terre West, Gianba will be bringing simple and delicious food inspired by his childhood and local California cuisine to the Palisades Village.

Cinque Terre West is the best of all the fine Italian Restaurants in Pacific Palisades : it has the best food of all, great wine list (with reasonable prices) great service, and nice friendly ambience. Highly Recommend.

There were no tables outside so had to sit inside. No ambience inside. Service was pretty poor. Food was ok. We won’t go again

The food at Cinque Terre is absolutely delicious. We have never been disappointed. The service is always prompt and extremely helpful and gracious. The outside setting is very attractive and there are heat lamps if the evening gets chilly.

Terrific food at this local restaurant. Everyone truly enjoyed their meal. Problem was that we ordered a Scampi special described as four prawns that the server offered without telling us the price and it was double the cost of anything else on the menu (over $80). A true shock and IMHO inappropriate but perhaps shame on us for not asking. Had this not tainted our experience, review would be 5 stars across the board (except ambiance which is very pleasant but certainly nothing special). Not sure if we will return or not.

First time at Cinque Terre West was this past Saturday night. We were a party of 4 and had 7:30 reservations. It was quiet when we first arrived but got crowded as the night went on and it was all lovely. The waitstaff was gracious and attentive. The outside patio was nice - it’s well lit and pretty. The food was really good. The pasta was fresh and flavorful. We will be back.

Always great food, great service and a good time. Hostess Marlo is so welcoming, you feel like it’s family time. Service attentive, water glasses regularly refilled (a pet peeve of mine), they accommodate special needs (I can’t have salt, and they keep it as salt free as possible, always accommodate gluten allergies). Great outdoor patio. Authentic Italian food, made to order, small batches. Had the fish stew, always great, pasta with bolognese sauce to start to share, great and plenty of meat sauce, Dover sole split between ladies, they liked it to, and a pizza for other person, he finished every bit of it and it’s not small Go to deli around the corner (same building) and get the chocolate croissants, best chocolate and generous with it as filling. All in all, neighborhood gem. And very neighborly.

This is the best restaurant in Pacific Palisades. Great food, wine and service in a lovely courtyard. Excellent fish, meat and pasta. We've eaten here for both lunch and dinner and have also stopped in for their amazing cornetti in the morning.

The experience was underwhelming. Our server was not very attentive, and not very friendly, but other servers looked much more attentive, and friendly. The homemade pasta was excellent, technically. But it was a little bit on the meager side, and we all felt it needed more salt, more dimension in terms of the saucing. (We had the short rib stuffed ravioli, the pesto ravioli and the fettuccine with fresh tomato sauce) The beet salad with greens was a joke at $16 they could easily have just added more of the greens and we would’ve appreciated it more. There was about 2 ounces of greens with some dressing, and I think we counted five tiny pieces of beet. The panna cotta was also lacking in sweetness. Not in a good way, in a bla way. I think it’s way too expensive for what it is. I won’t go back.

As always I love my meals at CTW. We had the white truffle risotto that was delicious. The Chicken is always a standout. Best anywhere. Had various pastas that were delicious! Thank you CTW!!!!

The food is excellent, the server would not plate a pasta dish we were sharing - something we do at fine restaurants in the US, Italy and around the world with no problem. The ambiance when the air temperature is warm would be fine, but it was cool and the heater was not great. The indoor seating leaves a lot to be desired. Worthwhile for the food but does not rise to the standard of exceptional overall.
