CEILO ROOFTOP LOUNGE is the newest hottest addition to Gaslamp San Diego Rooftops. Located on the 5th floor of Mr.Tempo’s at 701 6th ave (pink entrance) San Diego ca 92101. This 5,000 square foot speakeasy rooftop lounge & bar will feature Latin and Asian seafood tapas along with a craft beverage bar program. Tequila Del Cielo, a rooftop bar and restaurant featuring skyline views of downtown San Diego and the Coronado Bridge. The open air bar offers many Instagram able moments from our jungle disco entrance to our Tulum handmade swing there’s many photos and memories to be made. Tequila Del Cielo accommodates 200 guests for any occasion from bridal showers to venue buy outs for holiday parties. Tequila Del Cielo is open Thursday to Saturday from 5pm-12am and Sunday from 11am to 6pm.

Super disappointed with this rooftop. Whatever was advertised on Instagram, did not fully reflect. The drinks were ok, also not impressed. The coconut drink was supposed to be served in a coconut shell, and per the server, the coconuts were too expensive for the management opts to no longer use them. The Ferris wheel we purchased was also not charged so we enjoy it for a few seconds before having it taken away to charge, so we didn't have access to out drinks immediately. The food was not great, the garlic noodles lacked flavor. Also, there were not really any opportunities to take cute pictures because certain areas were for specific parties, so they're not accessible to all guests. Went with a group of 12 and we could not wait to leave. The waitress was very sweet and did a great job.

The place is decorated very nicely, however there was 1 server for the whole restaurant. Service was extremely slow and owners as well as servers were careless, I had a reservation and as I walked in I was told to sit wherever, they did not have enough umbrellas for the tables and it was extremely hot. 2 tables walked out due to slow service. Food came extremely cold and late. Would not recommend

They allowed us to put reservations when there was no room to even stand. It was full of college students. No staff was there to attend us, when we had a reservation. Very unprofessional service.

Unfortunately, the themed lesbian brunch didn’t go quite as expected. It seemed they were insanely understaffed, so our brunch for two took 2 1/2 hours. I wish they had told us that they were struggling so much, because it was obvious that only two servers and a few helpers were supporting. Food was delicious when it finally arrived, but it took 25 min from being seated to be greeted, and then 30 more min from taking our food and beverage order to get our cocktails. Had a nighttime club vibe that tried to be awake at noon. Wanted to love them, but I’ll probably keep looking.

Visiting from Seattle. Had a reservation here with my friends for Dec 31 and stayed until Jan 1. We had such a great time! The DJs played house music and played well. Our server was awesome and provided us free shots for the table. The wait time for ordering took a while because of the amount of people there, but overall recommend! We didn’t order food, just drinks and the drinks were great! Very entertaining night.

My girls and I had such a fun time here. Service from beginning to end was outstanding — from how welcoming the manager and hostess were, to Rafa’s exceptional service at the rooftop bar. Great bubbly deals on the weekend, and the fries and chilaquiles tasted great. Planning on going back asap! Thank you to all the staff, especially Rafa!

Service could be better .. you walk in and thrrr isn’t a host , you have to walk up to the bar and the bartender wasn’t that great. It’s a nice view and the holiday decor was up but I wouldn’t keep it on my list as a great experience.

Definitely should have listened to the reviews. Service was terrible, drinks took forever, We wanted to close our tab and that even took awhile. Need more organization. Will not be coming back.

Had a reservation originally for 715 placed week advance got a call hours prior to my reservation that my reservation has to be changed due to a private party schedule a few days prior. So new reservation was 815. 815 party is still going didn’t end until 9pm was let in but not seated because they didn’t know I had a reservation. Finally seated took forever for the food and when food arrived entree was cold. Appetizer was warm but came out same time as entree. Needs better organization.

My visit to Cielo Rooftop was a major disappointment. Despite being lured in by promises of great specials and atmosphere, the experience quickly soured. The receipt revealed we were charged for an extra drink we never ordered, a common trick in the bar scene. The real issue wasn't the cost but the blatant attempt to slip an unnoticed charge. Bringing it up to the server turned into a 15-minute ordeal. Even after patiently explaining the discrepancy, the manager, seemingly oblivious, insisted on its correctness. Frustratingly, he remained disengaged, leaving the server to juggle tables while I waited. At this point I walked over and attempted to speak to the manager directly, which resulted in a hostile exchange. His combative demeanor, refusal to acknowledge the error, and a lack of basic courtesy indicated a severe lack of competence. Prior to hearing my concern about the issue, he started the conversation by stating "nothing is wrong, I checked the receipt myself". This required a detailed explanation of each drink on the receipt for the manager to comprehend the error. It's disappointing when such a simple issue becomes so complicated to resolve due to incompetence. Despite wasting nearly half an hour proving their mistake, the manager's only admission was a nonchalant "my bad, that's on us." To add insult to injury, he proposed shots instead of a genuine apology or rectification as a refund would be "difficult". No effort to make amends, just a laughable attempt to salvage the situation. This managerial ineptitude reflects a broader issue of professionalism, customer service, and communication skills within the establishment. In the end, I declined the "round of shots" and told him to "keep the money". Bottomline: Cielo's management is woefully inadequate. Urgent reevaluation of training protocols is imperative to rectify issues like misinterpreting their own point-of-sale system, cultivating a combative manager and failing in basic conflict resolution.

They kept claiming they had no cups to give water so they gave us a water bottle and charged us extra not even a minute later the party next to us all got cups of water. The service was not the best i would have understood if it was crowded but it was not that packed when we arrived. The only thing we liked was the music. I do hope they get better at their service because their food and music was actually good.

Small and intimate and decorated nice. Definitely set up for some instagram photos. Food we tried was good but nothing special. I got the volcano smoked drink. $28 so I was hoping. For more. The tequila in it was very smooth. But the smoke cap they left on for 30 seconds. A quick smell and then the smoke is gone. I would have preferred it to stay on longer. Probably my fault for not asking to leave it on longer. Cool spot but I didn’t give it higher stars because they have the view all shut off. When I’m on a rooftop I want to see out. Cool vibe though.

Very nice resturant/bar, I wish it stayed open a little bit longer, and offered more food choices. However, the music was good, as was the service. Drinks were unique and had actually tasted like what was described on the menu.

I’ve been here a few times and the few times I’ve gone I’ve had a great experience until this week. I went to Cielo this week with a friend to Celebrate my birthday and the experience was not like the other time I’ve gone to this place. The music and vibe was good but my food took an hour to arrive, even though there wasn’t that many people when we first arrived and others that came after us received their food first. Then, once we got our food, the chicken wasn’t cooked all the way. Also, more people started showing up and they asked us to get up from the table that we had reserved and we’re eating in so that they could sit people with Bottle service. If there isn’t enough people to sit the people with bottle service, then they shouldn’t have accepted my reservation to begin with.

We were excited to try this place out, we waited for spring rolls after we were asked multiple times if we got our food. How difficult is it to make spring rolls? The server then insisted he saw the spring rolls on our table. How delusional. By this time we were hungry and upset about his comment rather than apologizing. The manager came by and apologized by offering 1 free drink. BEWARE CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD TRANSACTIONS!! The manager offered to split our tab by 9 and overcharged half of us. We spent our Saturday night assuring our credit cards were charged correctly, the manager reasoned that it was a “glitch”. Ridiculous. TAKE YOUR PICS AND LEAVE. Dont eat/drink here unless you’re trying to get scammed. Horrible.

Drinks were good and the space is cool once you find it but the service was awful. I went for my birthday and it just wasn’t great, I’d recommend finding a different rooftop.

Worst place we could have gone in San Diego. Came for a bachelorette for a 7:15 reservation. Got told there was a private party going until 9. Finally got seated. Got our food by 11PM and one plate by one plate. No one was eating at the same time. It was horrific. Drinks too forever as well. Do not recommend. Do not go.

Cielo is a fabulous place for drinks and possible dancing but TERRIBLE to have dinner on a Friday night. The music was very loud, ALL OF THE SEATS WERE WET from major condensation. This would have been fine but they didn't tell us or wipe seats before theyvsat us down. Service was slow and not thoughtful ( we had to ask for napkins, water and utensils. The food was COLD. It comes from the 3rd floor on a cart with no cover. I will never go back for dinner. Would probably head back for drinks. The bar was really cute. Overall don't recommend for food, drinks were fine. The later it got the more people showed up to party.

Customer service was unbelievable! The cocktails were so good and the Ferris wheel of shots was amazing. My friends and I really liked the vibe and had a fun time. So happy I found this spot!

The service was awful. No one greeted us or took us to our table. Our server (who never introduced himself or said he was our server) brought us champagne and then we never saw him. The barback had to bring us water. Our waiter finally came back like 20 min later and took our order. The food was not good. They have zero business serving sushi. The salmon used for all their dishes was smoked salmon. The rice was undercooked. It was honestly upsetting. I wont go back and i would never recommend it to anyone. Figure out your menu but stay in your lane because sushi is not it.

The food was horrible I had ordered the spicy tuna roll and the rice was cold and then we order the spring roll and the lettuce in the roll was wilted and soggy. We ended up just ordering the bottles or champagne and then leaving.
