Chez Omar is a nouveau Caribbean restaurant. Chef Omar is inspired by his Jamaican roots and Caribbean travels. This location comes as a second iteration of Omar's Kitchen and Rum Bar in NYC's Lower East Side.

Chef Omar's initial interest in Jamaica’s native fruits and vegetables led to an all-out exploration of a culture that blends a Caribbean twang with an urban New York twist.

He grows in his style by experimenting with these cultural blending techniques for friends and family, even dabbling in new ways to curate vegan Caribbean dishes.

Chez Omar has only been open for a couple of weeks so we were luckily able to get a table there after our anniversary dinner plans fell through. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, the food was delicious and the service was gracious and friendly. It turned a potential disaster into a wonderful evening. We will definitely return!

Chez Omar, is a culinary gem offering a delightful dining experience combining the Caribbean cuisine with a French twist. The ambiance and murals in each room are breathtaking. The manager Omar ensures impeccable service. Definitely a new gem on the West side worth visiting!
