It was an atypical experience, the service was awful. We had a lot of trouble getting the server’s attention for beverages and we actually had to leave the table to get the check. The food was good, as usual, but the service was lousy.

100% recommended mixed fajitas it was so yummy and I love the margaritas so they serve it as I requested with less strong alcohol

They started charging for an extra salsa and the prices are getting more expensive all the time. I might think about going somewhere else next time. The food was good as always.

Man, this place has gone downhill. Apparently now you only receive one complimentary basket of chips and one little dish of salsa. We had a table of 4 adults and 1/3 of the chips were broken into small pieces. One basket of chips for FOUR adults. We asked for another basket and were told it would be an additional charge, which we have never encountered from a Mexican place! I ordered fajitas and our server asked if I wanted shredded cheese or guacamole. OR?!? One or the other…for a $25 meal??? What a joke! We used to dine here quite frequently, but we will definitely never be back.

The food was passable but the service was great, very nice people. We had 2 children, so we appreciated how fast we were served. We will definitely go again.

I met a girlfriend here for lunch, and we enjoyed it a lot. The service was great. We both got the lunch duo and the Santa Fe salad was particularly good. It was a nice spot to enjoy talking and catching up. Plan to come back.

This location charges you for extra chips and salsa! Really? Who made up that stupid rule? We got five “complimentary” baskets of chips and five salsas for 15 people. When we asked for more, they would not give it to us without charging us $4 per basket. Had we all sat at our own tables, we would’ve each gotten our own basket of chips and salsa! We didn’t need more chips, but it’s just the principle! This location also seems higher priced than others we’ve been to. Probably because it’s right next-door to the mall of America.

This place is fine. Went for lunch and enjoyed my bowl. The sound sort of bounces off the walls so it was a bit hard for me to hear and have a conversation with my friend....but then I do have hearing issues too. The food and service were good overall, but nothing spectacular or stand-out

Chevys has become very overpriced. $5 for a pop and $5 to add black beans to my quesadilla. So sad it has come to this. $27 for a cheese quesadilla and a pop. Will not return.

My wife and I got the Chimichanga. There was only a teaspoon of sauce on each. We asked for queso and got about a quarter cup for $4.99. The salsa selection was: too hot or too mild. The chips were awesome.

Prices are way too high. They charge an additional $3.99 for a ‘refill’ of chips and salsa after the first complimentary serving when you sit down. If you want sour cream for your meal, that’s an additional $2.99 which is excessive in my opinion. Our service was just okay, but it depends on the server you get when seated. We won’t be back.

It was really fun night - however, everytime they sang happy birthday, we had to quit talking because it was so noisy - but it still was a great time, excellent food, server went above and beyond.

Very good Mexican food! The price is steep (now you have to pay for extra salsa too). It’s never busy for lunch so take advantage of that!

We used to be regulars at the Chevy’s in Colorado Springs until it closed some time back, so we thought we’d stop in while we were near Mall of America. Overall this is good but not great Mexican food. Service was good as well.

Meh. That’s the best way to describe it. There was a hair in our chips when the server brought them which isn’t the most appealing but not a huge deal. The food was bland. Drinks were nothing special and expensive.

We had a fun night at Chevys but the restaurant suddenly completely emptied out around 8:30-9 on a Saturday night. By 9 o’clock we were the only ones left in the entire restaurant and bar. The staff was busily cleaning up all around us making for an uncomfortable situation. We left quite abruptly and noticed a sign on the door stating that they were now closed for the evening and apologizing for “any inconvenience”. It was all quite strange as the published hours were open until 11 pm. It will preclude us from returning.

Awful experience. Waited at the host stand for almost 10min. Nobody even talked to us. When we flagged down the manager, we were shown to a table and waited another 10min before a waiter came over. Nobody refilled our drinks for the whole time we were there. After finishing the meal, we waited another 10 min with dirty dishes on the table while nobody would bring us a check. The service was not bad, there was NO service at all. With almost 500 reservation in OpenTable, I don’t think I have ever given a one star review. I would like to have give this one zero stars. Awful!!

The food was amazing! Very minimal contact with the waitress. No refills at all. Went for kids eat for $1 night the waitress tried to charge us full price anyways and got mad when asked about it. Open table says 18% gratuity added for party’s of 10 or more. Restaurant charges for groups of 8 or me.

Mixed grill fajitas is always are go to..but portions seem smaller and they only include 1 pack of small torillas (3 total), for 2 people. it used to include 2. chips were a little stale. salsa was amazing as usual.

Food was excellent, service sub par. The waiter was slow, forgot to bring out our dessert, and was not personable. Only checked in once when we got our food and never refilled my water that I downed within first 5 minutes.
