The bread was great and that was about it. The food was extremely bland and lackluster. The service was outstanding and our waiter was wonderful. Obviously the location was great as well.

We had initially planned to go to Sir Winston's but they're currently closed for renovations. Chelsea's is the only other fine dining restaurant on the QM so I made a reservation and boy were we glad it turned out this way! The food was excellent. We started with the bread for the table which was served in a cast iron skillet with salty butter. It was really delicious, soft and warm pull apart rolls. I had the chicken with shaved Brussels sprouts and hubby had the panko lamb chops. Both dishes were superbly cooked but the chops were on another level. So so good and tender. Hubby usually only ever eats steak so it's fortunate indeed that he chose this instead. We didn't have any sides as it didn't seem necessary and indeed this was plenty of food. We also had a bottle of Queen Mary champagne which was nice and a great value. Our waiter was great. Not sure of his name, maybe Abacuco. Very friendly and had a good sense of humor. He's the one who recommended the lamb chops.. I highly recommend this spot, especially if you're staying on board. Prices if anything seemed modest for what you got!

The seating hostess was inept. She asked us to move to the side then took other people to their table before us. She was wandering aimlessly around the resultant with the iPad. The waiter was disinterested, monotone and lacked any kind of enthusiasm for the menu. The good was fine. Not great but not bad.

Wonderful service and beautifully plated dishes from appetizers to dessert. Our waiter treated us like royalty on a beautiful ship. Great vegetarian options too. We then did a haunting tour on the Queen Mary for our group and it added another exclamation point to our day.

The food, service, and view were terrific! The entrees were a little pricey, but two of us (two ladies) shared an appetizer, a salad, and two desserts. Along with two glasses of wine, we were very happy!

Truly an experience back in time being on the Queen Mary! Nice dining room with white linen (casual/dressy casual) with great view of downtown and shoreline of Long Beach from all tables. Excellent service and attention. Exceptionally nice staff all around! Yummy Cesar salad, well prepared steak and salmon meals with fingerling potatoes and accompanying sauces. Complimentary generous slice of mouse cake for anniversary! Recommend for sure if staying overnight or fun for just an evening aboard.

We waited about 25 minutes for 2 drinks, then about 45 minutes for the main course. We ordered crab cakes as appetizers, which we never received. The server never even apologized.

Food quality was low to average. I think the swordfish was old. Couldn’t eat it -had an off smell and taste - and they removed it from the bill. Mashed potatoes tasted good but was cold. Bread service for an additional $6 was odd that it wasn’t included with the meal, but it was excellent. Baked in a small cast iron skillet. Service was very good. Not many people but maybe because a Thursday night. I probably wouldn’t eat there again.

Had a wonderful dinner - great service and a wonderful chat with Fouzia who gave us great recommendations for places to see and things to do. The view was outstanding and the night was made very special.

Best feature is shipboard dining and bay & Long Beach view. Food not great and not a good value. Lamb was over cooked. Fried fish with fries and no cole slaw was underwhelming. Restaurant does validate parking so you pay $10 vs. $25. I recommend to go to Parker's Lighthouse restaurantin shoreline village, enjoy good food and view of Queen Mary from across the bay.

Best Clam chowder ever and I know my clam chowder. All the food was absolutely delicious and we really enjoyed out visit. Will be back for sure when we come back to Southern California

Exceptional food and service. The view overlooked the Long Beach harbor. The vibe is very chill and peaceful. Came here to celebrate my birthday, and it did not disappoint. The clam chowder was thick and hearty, with the whole clam included. Perfect 👌🏽 We tried the garlic roasted oysters, which were full of buttery, garlic goodness. Almost reminds me if my favorite charbroiled oysters in New Orleans 😋🦪 Our steak was grilled perfectly to our request, and do not pass on the buttered bread rolls. We had 2 sets. So good. Great experience overall. Would recommend. You do need reservations to get into the ship, and they do validate your parking ticket for half off.

Dining on the Queen Mary is always a delight because of the atmosphere and elegance of this Art Deco ship of history. My favorites at the Chelsea are the clam chowder, the bread service, the Frito Misto, the Filet Mignon and the Creme Brulee. Be sure to grab one of their signature cocktails and dress the part.

We had an amazing experience once again! Our server Rubin was a pleasure! He paced our meal well and helped me with a great wine pairing with my Mahi Mahi. He also spoiled me with a delicious birthday dessert candle lit and song sung. I might add that the bartender makes the best vodka martinis on the ship!

Was t sure what to expect based on reviews, and we loved it ! Party of five for a Bon Voyage send off - had three appetizers (salad, shrimp cocktail and fritto misto) and one entree each. Server was fun and helpful and delivery of items was smooth and with nice presentation. Be sure to get a window seat- view is priceless!

We love Chelsea Chowder House! Luke was our server and he is very personable. Our meal was delicious and the martinis were marvelous. I had the lamb chops and my husband had the swordfish both were cooked to perfection. We started with the oysters and also shared the wedge salad. Ended with a beautiful chocolate mousse cake complementary for my birthday. We had a lovely evening. If Luke is your server don’t forget to write a note in his “passport “ book.

Great food and location! I’m a So Cal native and wanted something fun to do with out of town guests. We boarded an hour early and had drinks at the cute bar, then walked around a little to see the models. The entire experience and food did not disappoint! Our drinks were great, the sunset view lovely and food was perfectly prepared, seasoned and portioned. We had fresh oysters, the daily fish and didn’t need any additional sides to be content. Would definitely recommend for an alternative to the marina restaurants.

A little pricey but worth the experience eating a fine dinner on the Queen Mary. Had the wedge salad (which is large enough to share) & hubby had the clam chowder-lots of clams, potatoes and bacon. The filet was overcooked a little for medium rare but good. Shrimp dish was good but really rich. Desserts of ice cream and mascarpone cheese cake were very good as was the coffee. Service was excellent.

Chelsey Chowder House & Bar lacked ambiance (lighting and esthetics can easily improve the place). Food was delicious (Lamb was superb) a bit overprice for the type of place. The best part was the service. Luke our waiter was friendly, a pleasure to talk to, and made sure we were taking care of.

Service was good, Food was so so... I ordered a Shrimp Cocktail, It did not look or taste fresh. The Chicken may have been cooked prior & reheated as there was a cold spot on one of my pieces that felt refrigerated.

This restaurant had it all —- great food, great service, great ambience, and great views of the harbor. The Australian Lamb Chops were delicious. Highly recommended!

Delicious! I had the best pan seared swordfish. It was buttery with capers and perfectly cooked. The New England clam chowder was also good. My waiter was very friendly and attentive. I also had a signature cocktail and dessert.

Please realize that you are going to be CHARGED $40 to walk onto the ship, regardless of the time of your reservation. I did NOT see this AT ALL listed on the restaurant pages of the QM website. I was HORRIFIED when my out of town friends texted me that they had to pay to get on as did I when I arrived. I would have NEVER suggested or made a reservation for the Chelsea Chowder House if I had known that!! We had drinks in the Observation Deck, ambiance was good, wine was nice. Bar menu very limited, maybe 6 items offered. I didn't partake, my friends has the pretzel bites as they were so hungry. Dinner was just okay, not spectacular. We had the Mahi, Salmon and Shrimp Pasta. Dessert was creme brulee (strain the custard before baking please, it was not smooth. I am a baker, I know these things) Brulee top was good. Also had the baked apple. They liked it. Prices weren't too over the top especially since it cost us an additional $120 just to have dinner... I WOULD NEVER GO THERE AGAIN FOR DINNER OR DRINKS.....just warning ya.

Absolute disappointment. Food was overpriced for the quality- especially when factoring in parking and ship entrance fees that cannot be waived. Even with reservations, $25 per person just to enter to go eat before 5:45, on top of your restaurant bill. Accommodations should be made for guests with reservations to eat. A voucher perhaps? Conclusion? Not worth the time or money.

Service was spectacular, just what a 5 star resturant would require. Artichoke/ spinnach dip was exceptional. Dinner was ok.

Made reservations for 8:30 was 4 minutes late mins you they have a 15 grace period also got a confirmation my reservation was on the books we got there the manager said kitchen was closed full restaurant he said you can take it to go had a 50.00 food voucher I said why would I want to take a filet minion at 48.00 to go in a styrofoam box to my room plus all the extra fixings ??? It was a Birthday dinner never again this appt did not help !!

You have to be willing to pay $25 to enter the ship before 6p.m. and $10 after 6 p.m. just to get to the Chelsea + $10 validated parking if you can leave the ship right after your meal. The prices are high too and the portions are small. The food wasn't very good. The fish and chips was like getting what you do in a frozen dinner and the clam chowder didn't have many clams. The shrimp pasta had 3 shrimp in it. $115 for a second rate meal!

Got the clam chowder, it was watery and tasteless. Also got the wedge salad, and the lettuce was soggy and old, and the dressing was very watery. Tried to order dessert, but it took so long we had to cancel our order. It’s overpriced and we won’t be back. We are also letting everyone we know not to go there.
