Dining together allows us to better understand who we are, regardless of our social status. The food does not have to be elegant, complicated, or fancy. We find that busy people like simple food—the busier they are, the simpler the food. Our menu is straightforward, down-home Southern food with a few more contemporary dishes.

Getting back to the table allows us to love and nurture each other and renew connections to our families—however they may be configured—in this diverse and ever-changing society. Such connections are crucial in a fast-paced world where we feel more disconnected every day. One of the best ways we know how to restore that daily balance is to sit down at our table.

We should all think about returning to the sanctity of the table, where we can rebuild our families whether they be given or chosen, and reconnect with those we love and choose to love. Our table is a familiar, uncomplicated, friendly place where we can celebrate.

Conveniently located and with a great comfort food menu, this place works for a pre-theater early lunch. Other than an uninspired over-priced wine list (pricey on 1/2 price wine bottle day, even) the food had Chicago tourist prices with exceptional quality - taste, preparation, balance, portion size and flavor were all present in abundance - definitely worth a stop for a real meal in a great Chicago tourist destination.

Waited a several minutes at the hostess desk before anyone appeared. Then there were several more minutes of wait in between seating of those in line. The dining area being seated was 75 ft. away at most. Server was cocky. When alerted we had theater reservations her response was “Tell me something I don’t know. You and everyone else!”

Shrimp and grits—wow! A bit hot from the andouille sausage, and wonderful. Also love their southern fried chicken and mashed potatoes, and the lemon pound cake (comes with a pile of whipped cream) is splendid! Great Mac & cheese, and don’t miss the hush puppies! Art Smith is a master of Southern cooking, and this is the best of it. They also have a pleasant and somewhat size-able outdoor dining area and bar. This place will be full all summer! Some people tried to walk in, but you really need a reservation. On a crowded Sunday, they needed two people at the entrance, one to control the crowd and check people in, and one to escort them to tables, but a sunny Mother’s Day may have been especially crowded. Reunion is the best addition to Navy Pier in years!

seated no waitress until we asked if we had a server 10 mins later. Fully ordered before three tables around us received appetizers came before 3 tables waited for 45 mins 3 tables received appetizers after us and entrees before us food came while manager was apologizing for kitchen. Fried catfish was too salty chicken was good grits were cold, mac and cheese was good hot sauce bland sent back fried green tomatoes crust too hard drinks were good. Overall bad experience

Had reservations for Mother's Day brunch! Everything was great, we enjoyed the patio seating, the staff was very accommodating, and our server Owen was awesome! Only downside was that they ran out of waffles for the chicken and waffles...that was a bummer. Everything else was fantastic! The biscuits were amazing, the French toast was delicious..food was tasty all around!

The service was top notch! The chicken and mashed potatoes were fantastic. Cocktails were also very good! What a great fund at Navy Pier!

We have been to Reunion many times. a GREAT addition to Navy Pier. First rate cocktails, the biscuits are to die for, --- we partner had the herb grilled chicken, I had the brussels and kale salad with fried chicken. Both beautifully prepared. Service is fast. Perfect place pre-Chicago Shakespeare Theatre. We'll be back!

The fried green tomatoes were so good and the fried chicken was the best I've ever had! The staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had an wonderful experience. HIGHLY recommend and we'll definitely be back!

This decent restaurant close to Shakespeare Theater also gives a 20% discount for theatergoers.

Fried chicken was very greasy and two pieces were undercooked. The hush puppies were also drowning in grease. (Oil must not have been hot enough)
