Che Fico, is a new California Italian restaurant from Chefs David Nayfeld and Matt Brewer in San Francisco's NOPA neighborhood. The food focuses on Italian cuisine through the lens of California. It’s our vision of Northern California as if it is a region in Italy, our connection to the region, and our love for Italian culinary practices. The rustic, market-driven menu features handmade pasta, pizzas, antipasti, housemade salumi, meat, and fish plus dishes from the Jewish-Roman heritage known as “Cucina Ebraica.” The beverage program focuses heavily on both Italian and Californian wines with a cocktail program that utilizes a variety of spirits, amaros, and seasonal ingredients. Che Fico is a place to gather with friends and enjoy warm hospitality, food, and drink, through an approachable menu and convivial ambiance.

    Absolutely delightful. The pineapple pizza, fried risotto, tagliatelle, and octopus were all wonderful. Will go back. Highly recommend

    Such a lovely restaurant, and a fantastic dining experience. Sitting at the counter and seeing the chefs do what they do best was perfect. Watching one of the chefs make mozzarella right in front of us and getting to ask about the process was great, but then when he made a little ball of it and gave it to us warm and decorated with olive oil and salt, it was over the top! Che Fico will be on our list of wonderful places to dine when we want to feel like we are on vacation in our own city.

    We had an absolutely lovely meal while passing through SF. A restaurant that can accommodate a family with adult children is not easy- upscale family style meals with great cocktails is not an everyday find, and we appreciated the thoughtfully composed dishes. The piselli was an absolute standout, as was the bolognese (way more delicate than the traditionally heavy sauce you’d expect.) Our server was very helpful with recommendations and guidance. Overall a great meal.

    Just have to counter my last review with a quick note that our server last night was incredible - 10/10 and such a welcome change from last time. I hope he is rewarded for the lovely experience he clearly provides all guests.

    Brunch was fantastic— the French toast was one of the best things I’ve eaten in a long time! Brought an order home for my husband because I felt guilty for not saving him any.

    Wonderful inviting and knowledgeable staff who are great at recommendations, and making you feel comfortable. The food across the board was to die for, it's absolutely a must visit in San Francisco.

    Great food and wine. Had dinner with friends visiting from Japan. All the food and wine was great. Service was ver good. We’ll definitely return soon.
