I have to start by saying that I have always had good food here. We go to dinner there pretty frequently during lake season. But that was last year….My boyfriend and I went to celebrate his birthday and reminisce as we stayed there on our first overnight getaway. Our evening Started by the server saying they were out of 4 things. Not a great way to start. They had changed their menu but I was excited to try some different dishes. We placed our order and asked if there was any foccacia bread that they usually have. They didn’t have anything but she found us some banquet rolls instead. We ordered the crab cakes and they are not the same as last year. Oddly creamy in the middle which I found off putting. Our entrees came and were inedible. Our medium steak came out Rare. The broccolini was doused in salt and it we just couldn’t eat it. The lobster ravioli was so bad. Mushy, with an over reduced sauce that again was so salty I couldn’t eat it. The server was very kind and took it back without any questions and she really tried to make our experience better. When it came back, the steak was cooked to temp and my boyfriend enjoyed it. The lobster ravioli came back less salty but still so mushy I had one and couldn’t eat anymore. My stomach was upset the rest of the evening. Overall, we decided that we wouldn’t be back.

Our waitress Rachell was excellent! The Kansas strip steak was phenomenal!

We so badly wanted to like the restaurant to be able to justify the prices we were spending, however, the food just fell flat. It is marketed as fine dining with prices to match - $68 for a filet, but flavors were very bland in all entrees. The cucumber margarita was my favorite and the dessert ended up being comped by our waiter because we were celebrating my mom’s birthday. That was honestly the best part - Skip was a great waiter and very attentive!

First the view was wonderful. Sandra, our server and the Chef and staff were AMAZING. My wife has severe food allergies, and they went ABOVE AND BEYOND, to create an amazing meal for her on our anniversary. She and I are so grateful. My meal WAS EXCEPTIONAL. The arugula and pricutto salad, rack of lamb and to top it off creme brulee. If you are serious about, views, service and flavor THIS IS A PLACE YOU MUST PUT AT THE TOP OF YOUR LIST!

It was a decent ambience. Quiet and pleasant. The server was excellent. Very professional and courteous. The food was subpar for the value. Two in our party had the Sea Bass. Both said it was bland. Everything else was just ok. Nothing note worthy enough to warrant the cost of each dish.

It was not a quiet atmosphere as expected. They were out of one menu item and also the bottle of wine we wanted. Rather expensive for similar food at other restaurants in the area.

A fantastic experience with beautiful live piano, gorgeous views, and some of the best food I've had in a long time! Highlights were the French toast, the salmon dish, and the best sushi I've had in the Midwest so far! A truly great selection of food with a stunning ambiance.
