It was busy and glad we had a booth so we could hear one another in a normal conversation. Once our food arrived, our waiter did not check in with us again; we had to get the attention of other staff for water refills.

Absolutely the worst steak I have been served EVER in the past 50 years. We even has a lengthy discussion with the waiter specifically about how the prime rib would be cooked. Medium well was our request with NO RED MEAT as in no raw, cool, meat. First, everything that came went to wrong person - my soup to my wife, her salad to me, my meal to my wife, her meal to me. Trivial? Maybe, but not when you're paying over $100 for a meal at a restaurant supposedly rated very highly. I'm sure it wouldn't have mattered had the food been good. The prime rib came and was RAW on the outside. However the waiter disappeared as soon as the plates were set by someone else so never had a chance to say anything. Cutting into it, it was cold and raw-red inside. It looked like it spend less than a minute on the stove. Five minutes later I finally tracked down the waiter who asked me if I had checked it. YES I HAD! Then he went for his manager. The manager was the only bright spot of the day. Absolutely no excuses or hassle, he ate the bill and even gave us a gift card although it may take some doing to get my wife to return.

Food was delicious. Anton, our server was awesome. Wonderful dining experience from start to finish. Fried Green Tomatoes were excellent...best in the area.

The prime rib was chewy and very salty. also the brussels sprouts were very tough. the server swapped out the sprouts with a baked potato. the ambience was a little cold and not very charismatic.

The young man at the front of house was rude! We had a reservation and he seated two parties who came in after my party! I was not happy! We have been to Char several times but never were we greeted in such a discourteous manner! Food was as usual, well prepared and our server was quite nice but the guy at the front door almost ruined our day!

A loud booth next to us detracted from our experience. My crab cakes and fried okra were excellent. Wife’s chicken tenders were overcooked and the fries were lukewarm and just not very good. Of our twenty or so experiences at Char, perhaps our least satisfactory. Server and service were excellent.

Our waiter, Michael was excellent. Though he had a large party to also service, he was very attentive to our table; our food was promptly delivered. Our beverage glasses were never empty. He was amazing. The prime rib was also excellent. We enjoyed a wonderful dining experience.

I had the pleasure of being served by TK during my recent visit to CHAR, and I must say, her service was outstanding. From the moment I was seated, TK went above and beyond to ensure my dining experience was enjoyable. She was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering excellent recommendations and accommodating my dietary preferences with ease. Her genuine warmth and professionalism truly enhanced my meal, making it a memorable experience. I highly commend TK for her exceptional service and would gladly return to CHAR to be served by them again.

We had so much fun celebrating a girlfriend’s Bday!! The food was soooo delicious, the service was great TK was lovely and the ambiance was pleasant!! We will go back often!!

In our many years of marriage, this was the first restaurant that actually knew how to cook a medium rare steak for my husband as well as how to cook salmon! The server who we asked recommendations of wine from had a wealth of knowledge and knew what to bring us based on a simple description. While this was a pricey dining experience, it was simply the best we have ever had.

The spinach flatbread is amazing. It’s a steakhouse so order the filet. Come hungry or come often since you can’t possibly think about eating everything. Bar drinks are fun twists as well. Staff has always friendly but unobtrusive.

Our weekend lunch experience was perfect. My daughter and I both chose a steak which was cooked exactly as we requested. Even though we like our steaks well done they were both tender and juicy. Our server was very attentive and we will definitely be returning to Char!

Had been trying to celebrate a birthday or anniversary with my spouse at Char since it opened. Between personal illnesses, grandkid duties, etc. we finally made it there last week. There are only a handful of decent steaks to be had in this town "where restaurants go to die". Char's were exceptional, as were the apps and sides; all were on par with the best. Our waiter was a pro: Knowledgeable and helpful without "over-managing" the experience. Well done, Char!

Start off very well. Restaurant layout is well thought out. Drinks came with respect to attention. Appetizers were fresh and tasty. Salad, and main dishes were less than expected. In the end it was a miss for use, however, could have been an off night. Will try again.

Char never disappoints with a lovely atmosphere, friendly host, caring managers, and beautifully plated and scrumptious food every single time. Chuck was a gem of a server offering great suggestions with a friendly cheerful attitude and superb service. Would highly recommend Char for lunch , dinner or happy hour .

Food was delicious and the portions complemented the costs to ensure fantastic value. We were a little disappointed that the restaurant did nothing special for my wife's birthday, except for a pleasant comment from the hostess. Server was not very dynamic, just practical, but to his credit given his lack of genuine enthusiasm, he was kind enough enough to take our order, refill the glasses of water and leave us alone without interrupting needlessly.

Our waiter was phenomenal and stood out to our experience. Now days it’s hard to find people like her. Food was first class with presentation and taste. We will go back but with the entire process from getting a reservation to the meal, waitress, ambient setting, and finally the check, it all was first class.

Atmosphere was suburb, relaxing and quiet. Our food was absolutely delicious. Our server, Evan, was the best!! He was professional, friendly and answered all of our many questions.

Customer Service was spectacular. We greeted with a smile and immediately seated in the area requested when making the reservation. Our server was absolutely phenomenal.

My other 2 said their food were great. My son order the filet with fries and the fries looked awful. It was not fresh at all. I ordered the prim rib and half of it was fat. When you pay $42 for prim rib you expect to have more than half fat. Everything else was great.

We were quickly seated for our reservation and waiter greeted us warmly. Food arrived quickly and accurate to our order. One discrepancy with rice temperature was quickly corrected and the meal was outstanding.

There were 6 of us and we were all pleased with our food and service. I do believe the prime rib could have been cooked a little more - but my sister did not choose to send it back for a little more cooking. The desserts were outstanding and my steak and frites were very good. Thank you for a lovely Easter meal.

Went to celebrate 45th anniversary Char went out of their way to make it a successful event. Service was great, food was as expected and Sunday brunch jazz band very enjoyable. Overall excellent experience.
