We would like to invite you to enjoy dinner in little Europe. Our restaurant is fully family-owned. You will meet the grandma who's cooking everyday at the restaurant, you will enjoy our freshly baked bread and delicious food!
The Chanta family invites you to our home, where we will offer you authentic European food, hospitality and warmth! We started our restaurant business in Romania, over 8 years ago and we have three restaurants there. This is our first restaurant in the States, which opened in June 2020. We highly recommend the lamb chops specialty and all the homemade breads we have. The restaurant is beautifully designed for a cozy, intimate dinner. Enjoy your journey!

We booked for Mothers Day as we wanted a place new to us and without a buffet offering on a high traffic special occasion day. Decor is Eastern European inspired so very nice and matching to the elaborate a la carte menu of selected European dishes ranging from Germany, Hungary to Austria and Romania etc. I had the Hungarian Goulash which was right on. My wife ordered a meal which was also very good. Desserts were a few classics with their own twist. Chanta has also a Pizza oven and thus has Pizza options, thin crust, classic Northern Italian style. Service was good. Noise level was quite to moderate, as we had a table close to their bar, so great and no problem. They offer inside and outside seating. As a “former” Middle European I liked it a lot. There are so many dishes I would have like to try. My son had the Schnitzel which came with hand cut fries and he liked it as well. Overall a very nice experience, as it was also a bit of an excursion for us, as I we reside in Sarasota… Chanta is nice. Thanks.

First time @ Chanta and it was amazing. Food, Service and Atmosphere were fantastic. Definitely will be returning many times in future. The menu is so appealing itself. Makes it worth the trip.

Absolutely amazing authentic dinner here. The food was absolutely delicious. We got the schweine schnitzel and the Saccottini Vanessa. The pasta was as good if not better than some pastas I had in Italy. The Schnitzel was good but was a little dry. Could use some sort of sauce or gravy. Only thing we were shocked about was our Moscatos were $15 a glass and wasn’t too big of a glass either.

We enjoyed the food however the service was pretty slow even though the restaurant was not excessively busy. They could have certainly benefited from having an extra server. As a consequence we had to give up on the desert, which we know it's very good, but had other plans for the evening. Still, I would go there again and I recommend it because of the food.

This place is an absolute gem. You feel like you are eating in someone's home. Great ambiance and rustic atmosphere that makes it feel like you are on vacation in Europe. Now let's get to the food: We sampled five dishes including a special and all five were delicious. This is a family restaurant where the owners greet the guests and take significant pride in the experience they create. Don't wait. Go!!!

The service was very good. The staff was very pleasant and knowledgeable The food was just ok. I thought the pappardelle with shrimp and zucchini, was over cooked, lacked salt and there were just a few pieces of zucchini. The paprika chicken also lacked seasoning.

I highly recommend this restaurant. The food was excellent and service too. It’s a family run establishment and the selection of the unique foods is just what Tampa needs. We have so many amazing restaurants in Tampa but they all mirror each other Chanta stands alone with their ethnic delicious food.

The food was spectacularly good and freshly made. I particularly enjoyed the Saccottini Vanessa (the truffles in the Saccottini took it to the next level). The service was great; Vanessa was very friendly and helpful. We will be returning!

Chanta is a hidden, "mom and pop" gem. My brother took me for my birthday and we then decided to go back for my mom's birthday because it was just THAT good. Everything from the bread to the scrumptious desserts is made onsite. The family takes pride in their restaurant and it shows. The granddaughters are the servers and are extremely knowledgeable about each dish. Raisa was patient with our many questions, taking the time to explain everything. This is my family's new go-to place in Tampa!
