Connu pour son service exceptionnel, le Chama Gaucha propose une authentique "churrascaria" avec plus de 10 coupes de viandes savoureuses, dont l'agneau, le porc, le poulet et le bœuf, sur des brochettes sculptées par un gaucho à côté de la table.                         Lately, this place has been slipping. Meat has been over cooked and salty. Quality has gone down. This was a place you could go to and feel like royalty… now it feels like they rush you in and out. Why does it take 9-10 mins to get a bar drink? That’s insane. And for an old fashion. We had a bar cart sit by our table (literally right by our table for half of our meal while the lady made drinks for one table…)

                        Beautiful restaurant with great service. They delivery everything they promised. It may have been more a factor of the format of "meat on a skewer" format, but the meat cuts were a bit overly rich. We all had a great time. That said, at almost $100 per person without alcohol, I didn't find it to be a great value. It is definitely an experience.

                        We were there to celebrate her birthday. I noted it on the reservation. No one mentioned it. The food itself was good, but were disappointed to learn they had gotten rid of the lobster bisque. This is one of the main reasons we go here. It is one of her favorite things. Was told it was to hard to get the ingredients. It seems a.bit strange your competition can get the ingredients. First the pineapple was removed from the gauchos and you have to pay separately. Now the lobster bisque removed completely. We will look at other options going forward. Gauchos is just down Westheimer.

                        My experience was poor we were celebrating my son 17 birthday which I had placed in comments but till the end no one wished our bill Came and then my husband got up and spoke and later they went and got a dessert happy birthday wishes . The service was poor we had to keep asking for our meat in the beginning the server gave my daughter chicken and then just walked away without asking me. one of the blue shirt manager I guess who was in our area asked us what we wanted but this was during mid service . Definitely a let down as I was expecting this place and price we pay for better experience to celebrate. My son asked for medium steak cut and the waiter just gave him a rare cut and walked away .
